Apply online through the BIT Mesra admissions portal at bitmesra.ac.in during the application window; submit scanned copies of Diploma marksheets (all semesters), qualifying certificates, and a passport-size photograph.

Selection is purely merit-based on aggregate Diploma marks; no entrance examination is conducted. Diploma holders are prioritised over B.Sc. graduates as per the institute’s admissions policy.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a three-year Diploma in Engineering or Technology in a relevant branch from a recognised Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks (55 percent for SC/ST/PwD).

Alternatively, B.Sc. graduates with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12 (first division) and at least 60 percent marks in the degree may apply; Diploma holders are given priority and B.Sc. candidates fill remaining seats.

Candidates appearing in their final Diploma/B.Sc. examination may apply provisionally; results must be declared and eligibility confirmed before the date of admission.

Upload self-attested copies of all Diploma semester marksheets, category certificate if applicable, and a valid identity proof.

Pay the application fee of INR 1,500 (INR 1,000 for SC/ST) through the online payment gateway and download the payment receipt.

Monitor the merit list declaration on the institute website; shortlisted candidates receive a reporting schedule with a document-verification date.
