The School of Management Studies (SMS) at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, offers a 2-year full-time MBA in Finance, an Institute of National Importance. CAT 2025 general category shortlisting cutoff was 75 percentile for the 2026-27 batch.
Shortlisted candidates are called for GD and PI conducted at the MNNIT Allahabad campus.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed a recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognised university.
Valid CAT 2026 score is the primary qualifying requirement. CMAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, or ATMA scores are also accepted as per MNNIT SMS norms.
Shortlisted candidates must appear for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview at MNNIT Allahabad campus. The final merit list factors in entrance score, academic record, GD, and PI performance.

Admission Process

Register for CAT 2026 at iimcat.ac.in between August 3 and September 15, 2026 and appear for the exam on November 29, 2026.
Apply to MNNIT SMS through the institute’s admission portal at mnnit.ac.in when the 2027-28 application window opens around February 2027.
Upload CAT or other entrance exam scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, graduation marksheets, and identity documents.
Appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview at MNNIT Allahabad campus if shortlisted, typically held around May 2027.
Merit list is prepared on the basis of entrance exam score, academic record, GD performance, and PI score as per MNNIT SMS weightage norms.
