JISCE B.Tech {Lateral}: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. B.Tech Lateral Entry at JISCE Kalyani is a three-year full-time programme for diploma holders in engineering or technology. Students are admitted directly into the second year (third semester), completing Semesters 3 to 8. All 10 lateral specialisations are affiliated to MAKAUT.

Ans. B.Tech Lateral fees at JISCE Kalyani range from INR 3,16,300 for core engineering branches (Agricultural, Biomedical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering) to INR 3,82,300 for ECE and INR 4,13,800 for computing streams including AI and ML, CSE, CST, and IT. Hostel charges are separate.

Ans. Admission is through JELET 2026 conducted by WBJEEB. The JELET 2026 exam was held on June 13, 2026. Results are expected in early July 2026, followed by centralised counselling from July to August 2026. Candidates register for counselling at wbjeeb.wb.gov.in and select JISCE Kalyani.

Ans. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering or Technology from an AICTE or State Board of Technical Education recognised institution with at least 45% aggregate marks, and 40% for reserved categories. A valid JELET 2026 rank is required for admission through WBJEEB centralised counselling.
