St. Andrews College of Arts, Science & Commerce is a prestigious educational institution located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It was founded by the Catholic Archdiocese of Bombay (Mumbai) for the Catholic community. It is a minority institution established on January 01, 1981 and inaugurated by Mother Teresa on July 09, 1983. The institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai.

The college offers a horde of regular and self-financing courses in various disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. It currently offers regular B.A. and B.Com courses in addition to self-financing programs such as B.Com with specializations, B.M.M., B.M.S. and B.Sc. respectively. Additionally, St. Andrews College offers M.Com degree program at the PG level.

  • Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) are allowed relaxation of 5% marks in the Minimum marks eligibility criteria.
  • It is mandatory for all candidates to register with the University of Mumbai prior to filling the application form at the institute level.
  • For admission to UG courses, candidate must pass 10+2 examination with minimum 45% marks.
  • For admission to M.Com program, candidate must pass B.Com/BMS/BBI/BMM/BAF/BFM examination with 50% marks.
  • Candidates with a three-year Diploma in Hotel Management are eligible for direct admission to 3rd year of the B.Sc. Hospitality program.
  • Admission to all the programs is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
  • The institute reserves 50 percent of its total seats for each course for Christian Catholic students.

St. Andrews College of Arts, Science & Commerce offers 4 self-financing programs in addition to B.A. and B.Com courses under the University of Mumbai. The subjects offered under the B.A. program include Economics, English, History, Psychology and Sociology. B.Sc. program (self-finance) is offered in the disciplines of Information Technology and Hospitality. The self-financing B.Com program is offered with specializations in Accounting & Finance and Banking & Insurance. The institute offers two other self-financing programs, viz. Bachelor in Mass Media (B.M.M.) and Bachelor in Management Studies (B.M.S.). The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. Selection of candidates for all UG courses is done on the basis of merit of 10+2 marks.

The admission fee must be paid in full at the time of institute-level admission. The prospectus and application form for admission to the college is made available from the date the H.S.C. results of the Maharashtra State Board are announced.

  • Candidates for the B.A. and B.Com (non-financing) courses get to choose between Single major (with 6 core subjects) and double major (with 3 core subjects for each major).
  • Candidates holding two/three/four-year Diploma in an Engineering branch after SSC are eligible to apply for the BMS program.
  • Candidate with three-year Diploma in Hotel Management can apply for lateral entry admission to B.Sc. (IT).

St. Andrews College of Arts, Science & Commerce M.Com Admission 2019

St. Andrews College of Arts, Science & Commerce offers a two-year degree program in commerce (M.Com.) at the PG level. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to this program is a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or other bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university. Candidates are further required to have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Selection of candidates for the M.Com program is done on the basis of merit of marks secured in the qualifying exam.

Candidates seeking admission to any of the PG program must first submit his/ her application through the University of Mumbai website and pay the prescribed application fee via online mode. A separate application form on the institute level must then be duly filled and submitted, with the ‘Student Copy’ and copies of all relevant documents, in order to complete the application process. No separate application fee is required to be paid during the institute level application process.

St. Andrews College of Arts, Science and Commerce accepts applications from eligible candidates in two steps – Online Registration via the University of Mumbai, and subsequently at the institute level (offline).

How to Apply

  • Candidates may visit official website of University of Mumbai and fill the online registration form in person.
  • The applicant should proceed with creating a Username and Password by hitting the “Register” button.
  • Fill the registration form duly with only correct details. No columns in the registration form should be left out.
  • The application should choose St. Andrews College of Arts, Science and Commerce as the preferred choice of college.
  • After submitting the registration form online, the candidate is required to take printouts of the Submission Copy and Student Copy.
  • The Student Copy has to be retained by the applicant for future correspondence.
  • The Submission Copy on the other hand must be submitted along with the application form for St. Andrews.
  • The application form for St. Andrews College can be obtained by visiting the institute campus in person.
  • Candidates from outside-Maharashtra Boards will have to fill in provisional eligibility form in the institute office before payment of fees.
