Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar’s Senthikumara Nadar College (VHNSC) is an autonomous institute located in Virudhnagar, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University and approved by AICTE. The college accepts admission purely on the basis of merit scored in the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission in VHNSNC will be required to register themselves first by paying a nominal fee of 50 INR. The application process is conducted offline which makes it very transparent for the candidates. Filled in application form should reach the college within 10 days from the results of the higher senior secondary exam. Final admission will be decided upon the ranks released by the college

The admission shall be made purely on the basis of Merit subject to the rule of reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
- 31% for Open Competition (OC).
- 30% for Backward Classes (BC) within this 3.5% is earmarked for Muslims.
- 20% for Most Backward Classes (MBC) and Denotified Communities (DNC).
- In the 18% for Scheduled Castes (SC), 3% of seats offered to Arunthathiyars (with the seats reserved for SC).
- 1% for Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- UG Courses: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with relevant subjects.
- PG Courses: Student should have a graduate degree in relevant subjects.
VHNSN College Scholarships
Following are the financial aid provided by the college to cater to the needs of deserving students:
- Backward Class Department: Residential and Non-Residential Scholarship are sanctioned by the Backward Class department to the students belonging to BC, MBC/DNC if their parent’s annual income does not exceed 2,00,000/-
- Adi Dravida Welfare Department:
Adi Dravida Welfare Scholarship is granted under Govt. of India and State Government Schemes. SC / ST students whose parent’s annual income is below 2,50,000/- eligible for the above scholarships. In addition, hostel students studying in UG Degree classes are also granted a sum of 6,500/- each as Higher Education Special Scholarship and PG Students is granted a sum of 7,000/- whose parent's annual income is below 1,00,000/.
Chief Minister’s Farmer Protection Scheme: This scheme is applicable to the students who are studying in Aided and Self finance Course. Identity card of Registered Membership under Chief Minister's Farmer Protection Scheme is essential. The students who are applying for getting scholarship under this scheme are not eligible for getting any scholarship under the Central or State Government Scheme.
Freedom Fighters Scholarship: It admissible to the children, grand-children and adopted children of freedom fighters are awarded on the production of a certificate from the Tamilnadu Congress Committee containing particulars of imprisonment place and period. The students who are eligible for the above scholarships will also be sanctioned full fee concession.
Defense Service Personnel Scholarship: Students whose father is working in Military Service is eligible for this scholarship. He should have obtained 50% of marks in the last annual examination. He is also eligible for (military concession) full fee concession and exemption from payment of all items of special fees.
NOTE: Scholarship and Fee Concession holders should record 90% of attendance failing which the award will be withdrawn.
