RRCE Admission Process
BE (Bachelor of Engineering)
The BE admission process at RRCE is governed by state and national entrance exams. Seats are allotted through two main routes.
- Government Seats (KCET route): Candidates qualify KCET, register on the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) portal, fill branch and college preferences, and receive seat allotment based on rank and category. Confirmation requires document verification and fee payment.
- Management and NRI Seats (COMEDK and JEE Main route): COMEDK UGET scoreholders apply through the COMEDK counselling portal. JEE Main scores are accepted for direct management quota admission through the college.
Minimum eligibility is 10+2 or equivalent with 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. SC and ST candidates are eligible at 40%. Lateral entry (direct second year BE) is available for diploma holders and B.Sc graduates through Karnataka DCET.
MBA and MCA
PG management and computer applications programmes admit candidates through Karnataka PGCET, KMAT Karnataka, and CMAT. Graduation in any discipline is required for MBA. MCA applicants need Mathematics at the 10+2 or UG level.
M.Tech (CSE) and PhD
M.Tech admissions use GATE or Karnataka PGCET scores. Candidates must hold a BE or B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering stream. PhD candidates are admitted on the basis of an entrance test and interview conducted by the college, in accordance with VTU regulations.
BBA and BCA admissions are direct and merit-based on 10+2 marks, with no entrance examination required.
