Mcgan's Ooty School of Architecture Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The duration of the course is 5 years with 10 semesters in total. I think this is good period of time to learn architecture. Each semester has five theory subjects and one design subject. The design subject deals with designing buildings with given brief without any plagiagrism. The other five theory subjects are quite easy other than the subjects that involves maths, which requires practice and learning. all the nine semesters are quite conceptualized, whereas the internship semester gives an idea on how the real world of architecture industry works. Though the syllabus is old all over india, it might be for betterent if the practical learning is involved in all semesters.

Students are eligible for campus from the 9th semester.. This course is totally 5 years. And the last year's students are eligible for the campus. Minimum package of 30k per month and max package is goes to 60k for freshers.

1. New place. 2. Good ambiance. Being present in the Nilgiris district, the college is amidst the ta plantation providing great views and peace of mind. 3. Faculties from various regions giving different exposures.

Admission to the M. Arch program was on the basis of the TANCET exam, conducted by the authorities of Tamil Nadu state. I got a call for the counselling process, and after the verification of documents I was granted admission.

The college is affiliated to Anna University and is located in the valley of Perar. The level of teaching and the course structure is good. Campus life is awesome. Placements are bad though.

The college being situated in the middle of the woods is the best thing about the college. Secondly, the climate in ooty is so pleasant to make students enjoy the learning process and actively enhance the Creativity. The fees is quite high as compared to other colleges and quality in education should also be improved.
