It's a good college and has achieved good reputation in India. They give good support for student research activities too.
Opted for this course because of my passion for Medicine. Getting into this college was due to good rank in entrance exam and great faculties in every department here. Entrance exam followed by rank list and then counseling. Then fee payment and commencement of classes.
I got admission to the college on merit basis. Students are called for the counselling on the basis of their marks in class 12. Admission process was pretty smooth and the administration was very helpful during the counselling.
Placement assistance is not provided by the college, as such. But students can enrol for the six month internship from the hospital. Although, a pass-out from our college never faces any issue regarding job.
College is pretty good academically. Could even be tagged as one of the best ones in the region. But the fee itself can make it non-feasible for a lot of students who can't afford such a whopping cost for the program. Campus life and faculty made my 5 years pass by like a movie.
Admission is on the basis of the merit list, which is based on the NEET rankings. My NEET rank was very good, that's why I was eligible for many medical colleges but I opted for this one because it was closest to my house.
The best positive about our college is best in class infrastructure, well finished class rooms, skill labs and best faculty and our new hostels with centralised customisable mess.Remarks Night in-timings should be increased from 10 to 12 pm. Personal vehicles should be allowed.
Got admission through NEET 2016 and applied for Nitte university, which is a separate application. After that college updates a merit list which is purely based on all India neet rank. Those students in rank list were informed and requested to participate in counseling with all the original certificates.
Postive remarks are the development in infrastructure, great faculty , good patient input in hospital andgood exposure Negative remarks would be We arent allowed personal vehicles which is huge disadvantage as it is very tiring and time consuming for us to get even the smallest of things done outside of campus. Also considering the weather in mangalore which get really hot sometimes. Everyday we have to walk atleast 1 km to the hospital everyday which is quite tiring. Secondly the high amount of fines charged as punishments even for the smallest matters. Thirdly our college does not have a good compound closure. And doesnt have the best faculties for students to take a break from studies
After being eligible under all india seats after the NEET entrance exam we were asked to come to college for counselling and then based on ranks and previous marks admissions are given. This is what happens in most medical colleges
Everything, I feel about this college is positive whether about its infrastructure, quality education, cultural activity, etc. Except for it's high fees which cannot be ignored. But this fees is worth giving because you are getting all the facilities.
For getting admission in this college I appeared in NEET exam in 2017. After scoring a decent score next comes the counseling in which I have to fill choices. The colleges are allotted based on my marks, rank a secured and the choices a filled. There were different rounds of counseling and in final round, after all the upgradation in colleges allotted to me last college allotted was KS hegde medical academy. Than I have to go to mangalore for submitting my documents like 10th and 12th mark sheet, neet score card, etc.
No negative remarks in this college, Quite no but some sort of bad negative is here, that have in all places, that's all. No such lot of huge bad negative is here, now improving the main entrance
According to mark and then interview. Then based on 10th mark, they provide a seat here also with good performance in interview. First submit the 10th mark list and with plus two mark list and also some documents
It’s a nice college, a wonderful place for those who are really interested to study and become a good medical professional.
K S Hegde Medical college is a unit of Nitte education trust. It's known for its quality of Education. The fees structure was feasible compared to other colleges providing this course. And one of my PU senior studies in this college and he told me this college was best for the course I was planning to opt.
