Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course and the curriculum is strictly CBME based as per NMc guidelines, which makes us competent enough for the advancing medical healthcare and has relevant real world applications. We have around 3 sessional exams per year and 3 main CIEs ( continuous internal evaluation) , other than that there can be more cies too , we need to be really consistent for passing in the exams , the difficulty level is average - can be passed with consistent hardwork

Fees and Financial Aid

College fees - 1750000rs /year Other charges ( university exam fee ) - 6k only in the 1st year Hotel + mess fees - around 100000rs/year + 20k deposit only in the 1st year Same for everyone except KEA students , for them it's around 1.5 lakh

Campus Life

3

Over campus life is decent, we have culturals once a year . Throughout year we can participate in various other competitions organised. The college has its own cultural clubs such as literary , music , dance , quiz , sports etc

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are with a 2 room sharing accomodation, Ac rooms are also available as per demand , they are cleaned once in every 3 days Meal quality is average, taste is barely edible enough for survival, hostel and mess is highly affordable as compared to college

Admission

I chose this college because it had great facilities in a lesser fee structure as compared to the other medical institutes such as Dy patil or MGM. Admissions are online via mcc portal solely based on NEET UG scores and other eligibility criteria being 50 percent in each 10th and 12th boards .

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is about 1: 20 in general, but it totally depends for large group sessions there is 1 to 3 faculties for 250 , for small groups it can be 1 for 60 and for team / unit based activities it can be 1 per 12 students. Most of them teach good , but since it's a professional course we cannot expect complete spoon feeding we need to put in equal efforts too

Night Life

3

Gym is open uptill 8 , library till 11 for KSHEMA students , the public areas outside are closed by 10, there is no night life as such . Especially for girls the in time in hostels is strictly 8 only for library we are excused till 11.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.

Remarks:

The hospital of the college is too good, which comes as a bonus to the students. Also the campus is very eco-friendly as the college have solar panels installed for electricity and hot water and the campus is also filled with greenery all around. The only negative thing is the canteen gets closed after 1 AM which makes it really difficult to eat something in nights.
