ILNU Admission Dates 2027

Admissions to ILNU’s integrated law programmes and LLM are governed by CLAT scores. The 2026-27 batch admission cycle has concluded. The next intake (2027-28) is anchored by CLAT 2027, expected in December 2026, with institute counselling to follow in early 2027.

The tentative timeline for the 2027-28 admission cycle is aligned with the CLAT 2027 schedule and will be confirmed on the official ILNU admissions portal once the Consortium of NLUs announces dates.

LLM admission for the 2027-28 batch is through CLAT PG 2027 or direct selection by the institute. The institute application fee for all categories, including NRI, is INR 2,500, payable online separately from the CLAT examination fee.

ILNU Courses and Fees

ILNU offers five law programme families across three levels. All three 5-year integrated programmes carry an identical fee structure - the institute does not charge differently for BA, BBA, or BCom combinations paired with law.

Year 1 of the integrated programme costs INR 4,25,700, which includes INR 50,700 in one-time enrollment charges. Years 2 through 5 settle at INR 3,82,000 per year. Hostel fees add INR 1,49,300 to INR 1,69,300 per year for both men and women. A student completing the full 5-year programme while staying in the hostel spends between INR 27,00,200 and INR 28,00,200 in total.

ILNU Admission Process

5-Year Integrated Programmes (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB)

Admission to all three integrated programmes is through CLAT. A single CLAT score is valid for all three tracks at ILNU, and candidates list their preferred track during the institute’s application process.

• Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. No specific stream restriction.
• Selection stages: CLAT registration and exam, ILNU application (INR 2,500 fee, online), merit list based on CLAT score, document verification, fee payment, and admission confirmation.
• Cutoff context: CLAT rank range for admission to ILNU typically falls between 500 and 1,000 for the General category. BBA LLB tends to have a slightly higher closing rank than BA LLB. Candidates with ranks outside this range may still secure admission in later rounds depending on seat availability.

LLM

LLM admission is through CLAT PG or direct selection by ILNU. The one-year programme runs two specialisations: Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, and Criminal and Security Law. Minimum eligibility is LLB or equivalent with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Selection considers CLAT PG score, academic record, and the institute’s direct assessment process.

Ph.D in Law

Doctoral admissions follow Nirma University’s standard doctoral process, including a research proposal evaluation and an interview by a faculty panel. The minimum duration is three years, with two fee variants available depending on study mode or research category.

ILNU Placements

ILNU’s placement cell conducts an annual campus drive connecting graduating students with law firms, corporate legal departments, and public sector organisations. The highest offer in recent placement seasons stood at INR 19.5 LPA. The median CTC across placed students was INR 6.58 LPA.
