Tapmi School of Business MBA Program

Master’s of Business Administration is a 2-year postgraduate program, helping in the transformation of the students to highly qualified working professionals. Both Thapar University and Manipal University offer excellent BTech programs in Computer Science. However, while choosing one over the other, you can consider the following points of comparison,

Thapar University has a better crowd as well as faculty in comparison to Manipal University especially in branches like Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical.
Although placements depend on your performance and skills, Thapr University seems to have better placement opportunities.
Both colleges have equally good infrastructure and college life. However, Thapar University fairs better in terms of placements as there are many places to explore around it.

In all, Thapar University has a better reputation, opportunities and attracts a better crowd. So unless you are getting your preferred branch in Manipal only, go for Thapar University

It depends entirely on which specialization you want to choose. I know a few people from both TAPMI and FORE. So, I think I can give you some information about these two institutes which may be helpful for choosing which is best for you.

For Marketing:

If you want a career in marketing, go for FORE.

FORE has better faculty for Marketing specialization.
The internship offers they offer are majorly from Sales, Business Development, and Market Research.
For placements, many major FMCG companies visit the campus. Profiles mostly offered in placements are Area Sales Manager.
The highest salary received here is 30 LPA while the average salary is 10.6 LPA.
FORE also has the added advantage of being located near the Commercial hub of Gurgaon, Delhi.

For Finance:

TAPMI is very good if you want to pursue your career in finance. It has a very good faculty and all the top sector companies visit the campus for placements.
The highest package observed here is 25 LPA while the average salary is 11 LPA.

The placement statistics for both these two institutes are authentic and not inflated. Both the colleges are good and have their own advantages.

Which is better, B school in Tapmi or the NMIMS Bangalore?

TAPMI is the obvious choice from the two colleges because of the following reasons.

Reputation:

TAPMI is a well-established college with a good reputation, experienced faculty, rich alumni, and better placements. Whereas NMIMS Bangalore is a relatively new college mentored by the NMIMS brand.

TAPMI was ranked 19 and 27 respectively by India Today 2019 and NIRF 2020 for MBA.
NMIMS Bangalore was ranked 29 for MBA by India Today 2019.

Placements:

Placements too are better in TAPMI for the 2019 batch the highest package offered was 25 LPA, while the average package was 11.05 LPA About 126 recruiters have visited the campus. About 52 Pre-placement offers were made.
For the 2019 batch in NMIMS Bangalore, the highest package offered was 21.38 LPA and the average package was 10.5 LPA. A total of 91 companies have visited the campus and about 19 Pre-placement offers were made.

Infrastructure:

TAPMI offers great infrastructure. The finance lab is one of the best in the country. It is powered by 16 Bloomberg terminals and 7 Thomson Reuters terminals. Even many old IIMs do not have these facilities.

TAPMI offers admission through CAT whereas NMIMS Bangalore conducts NMAT for admission, so it is evident that you will be among better peers at TAPMI. Despite the locational disadvantage, TAPMI will be the best choice out of the two.

Which one is better TAPMI or MDI Murshidabad?

Which among NMIMS-Navi Mumbai, LBSIM, Tapmi, IMI Delhi (BK&FS), GIM is better?

NMIMS, Navi Mumbai had a rank of 24, LBSIM had a rank of 85, TAPMI, Karnataka had a rank of 27, IMI Delhi had a rank of 28, and GIM Goa had a rank of 48 in the management category in NIRF 2020 respectively.

Admission:

To be eligible for admission, graduates are expected to have passed with a minimum of 50% along with their NPAT/SNAP/CAT/XAT score, and depending on the program, work experience is also mandatory.

At NMIMS, programs like BBA, MBA, B.Tech have fees in the range of Rs. 11 Lakhs to Rs. 19 Lakhs.
LBSIM offers programs like PGDM and M.C.A in the fee range of Rs. 3.15 Lakhs to Rs. 11.67 Lakhs.
TAPMI offers programs like PG Diploma and Ex - PGDM with fees from Rs. 14 Lakhs.
At IMI Delhi, for programs like PGDM, EPGDM, and FPM the fees are in the range of Rs. 1.2 Lakhs to Rs. 18.29 lakhs.
