MIP Pune Admission Process

B.Pharm Admission

B.Pharm admission at MIP Pune is entirely through DTE Maharashtra Pharmacy Centralised Admission Process (CAP). There is no direct or management quota admission.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics as mandatory subjects
  • Minimum aggregate: 45% for General category, 40% for reserved category candidates
  • Entrance: Valid MHT-CET (PCB group) or NEET score required for CAP registration
  • Process: Register on ph2026.mahacet.org, complete document verification, participate in CAP rounds, and confirm admission after seat allotment

Candidates who have appeared only in NEET (not MHT-CET) must register separately on ph2026.mahacet.org and pay the prescribed registration fee. MHT-CET score holders register at no fee. Seat allotment is based on MHT-CET (PCB) or NEET merit rank as prepared by the Maharashtra State CET Cell.

B.Pharm Lateral Entry Admission

D.Pharm holders from a PCI-recognised institute with 45% aggregate are eligible for direct second-year B.Pharm admission. Lateral entry seats are filled through the DTE Maharashtra DSP counselling process on dsp2026.mahacet.org.in. The 2026 lateral entry CAP registration closed on July 18, 2026.

M.Pharm Admission

M.Pharm admission is through DTE Maharashtra PG Pharmacy CAP based on GPAT score. Ph.D research candidates must hold an M.Pharm degree with 55% marks and clear the entrance test or interview conducted by SPPU or MIP Pune. Candidates with a valid GPAT or UGC-NET score are eligible to apply for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), which partially offsets programme costs. Two research areas are available: Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.

Research laboratories support M.Pharm dissertation and Ph.D research work in the institute’s active specialisations.
