RRGOI Admission Dates 2027

RRGOI admissions follow multiple state and national-level admission processes, depending on the programme family. Engineering and Pharmacy admissions are through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) via KCET. Nursing and Physiotherapy are through NEET and RGUHS counselling. Management admissions are through KMAT Karnataka or PGCET. The 2026 to 2027 academic cycle is concluded. The 2027 to 2028 cycle is expected to follow the same annual calendar.

The 2027 to 2028 tentative dates are based on Karnataka and national-level admission calendars from prior years.

The course-wise entrance examinations accepted at RRGOI are summarised below.

RRGOI Courses and Fees

RR Group of Institutions offers programmes across engineering, health sciences, management, commerce, computer applications, and diploma tracks. The table below covers key programme families with duration, eligibility, and total fees from the 2025 fee data.

The health science programmes (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy) are affiliated to RGUHS and regulated by their respective councils (INC, PCI). The engineering and B.Ed programmes are affiliated to VTU and Bangalore University respectively. PGDM is also offered as an alternative to MBA at INR 3.90 Lakhs for the full programme.

RRGOI Admission Process

Admission to RRGOI’s programmes is through a combination of state-level entrance exams, national-level exams, and merit-based processes, depending on the programme. Karnataka Government quota seats in Engineering and Pharmacy are allotted through KEA counselling.

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST). Admission is through KCET rank or COMEDK rank, both valid at RRGOI.

• Participate in KEA centralised allotment (KCET) or COMEDK counselling
• Accept allotment and report for document verification at RRGOI
• Pay first-year fee and confirm admission

Management quota seats in B.Tech are filled by RRGOI directly for eligible candidates who do not secure government quota allotment. Lateral entry B.Tech admission is available for Diploma holders via KCET Lateral Entry, with total fees of INR 6.02 Lakhs.

B.Pharm and Pharm.D Admission

B.Pharm admission requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics, and a valid KCET Pharmacy score. Allotment is through KEA Pharmacy counselling. Pharm.D is a 6-year integrated programme and follows the same KCET Pharmacy route. Minimum eligibility is 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

Nursing and Physiotherapy Admission

B.Sc Nursing and BPT admissions are based on NEET UG score and Class 12 PCB marks. Allotment is through RGUHS-governed counselling rounds. Minimum eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories). GNM admission follows a similar RGUHS process.

MBA and MCA Admission

MBA admission is open to any graduate with a valid KMAT Karnataka, PGCET, or MAT score. Allotment for government quota MBA seats is through KEA PGCET counselling. MCA requires BCA or BSc with Mathematics background, with admission through PGCET. The MBA programme carries specialisations in Marketing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain Management, and Startups and SME Management, among others.

RRGOI Placements

RR Group of Institutions operates a centralised Training and Placement Cell that coordinates campus recruitment across its constituent institutions. Engineering and management graduates form the primary cohort for campus recruitment. Companies from IT services, banking, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors participate in placement drives at RRGOI.

Placement activity is strongest for B.Tech CSE, BCA, MBA, and BBA graduates. B.Pharm and Allied Health Sciences graduates primarily pursue postgraduate education (M.Pharm, MPT, NEET PG for MDS/MD pathways), government service examinations, and pharmaceutical and hospital sector roles.

Nursing graduates have a strong career pathway into government hospitals (ESIC, NHM, AIIMS, state health departments), private multi-specialty hospital groups, and overseas nursing roles. Physiotherapy graduates join private clinics, hospitals, sports rehabilitation centres, and corporate wellness programmes.

RRGOI Scholarships

Students at RR Group of Institutions may access Karnataka state government scholarships, central government scholarships, and institutional fee concessions. The following schemes are commonly available to eligible students.

Karnataka government fee reimbursement is available for SC and ST students in government quota seats in Engineering and Pharmacy. Students should apply through the Karnataka e-Pass portal and National Scholarship Portal for central schemes. Merit-based fee concessions may also be available at the institutional level for top KCET or COMEDK rank holders.

RRGOI Campus and Infrastructure

RR Group of Institutions is located at Chikkabanavara, Bangalore, spread across a 27-acre campus. The group has 18 constituent institutions with dedicated buildings for Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Management, and Computer Applications. Aspirants targeting mid-tier private multi-discipline institution groups in Bangalore often compare RR Group of Institutions with CMR Group of Institutions and East West Group of Institutions. All three are large private groups in Bangalore with engineering, management, and allied programmes, drawing from a similar applicant pool of Karnataka and out-of-state students using KCET and COMEDK.
