Mumbai Educational Trust (MET), Mumbai is a private multi-institute education group established in 1989 in Bandra, Mumbai. MET operates several constituent institutes including the Institute of Management, Institute of PGDM, Institute of Mass Media, Institute of Pharmacy, Institute of Information Technology, and Institute of Computer Science. The MMS programme is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE. The PGDM is an AICTE-approved autonomous programme. Other constituent institutes are affiliated to the University of Mumbai or hold relevant statutory approvals.

MET does not currently appear in NIRF rankings with a specific rank in any major category.

MET Mumbai Admission Process

Admission processes at MET differ significantly by programme. State-regulated programmes (MMS, MCA, B.Pharm) follow the Maharashtra State CAP. The PGDM and professional programmes use MET’s own institute-level selection.

MMS (Master in Management Studies)

  • Eligibility: Graduation with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category from Maharashtra).
  • Entrance: MAH MBA CET is the sole exam for MMS through DTE Maharashtra CAP. No management quota seats exist, all seats are filled via CAP.

Is Human genetics available in Mumbai university

The University of Mumbai does not offer a dedicated BSc in Human Genetics course. Its Life Sciences department includes genetics topics within broader courses like Molecular Biology & Applied Genetics, but there is no separate “Human Genetics” undergraduate major.
