BITSoM admissions for the 2026-28 batch concluded in April 2026. For the next intake, the 2027-29 batch, the cycle is anchored on CAT 2026, with the exam on November 29, 2026. BITSoM applications for this batch are expected to open in late 2026 following the CAT 2026 result on December 24, 2026. GMAT and GRE candidates may apply through BITSoM’s rolling admissions window when the portal opens.

BITSoM Courses and Fees

BITSoM’s flagship offering is the 2-year full-time residential MBA at a total all-in fee of INR 28,55,000. The fee is bundled and includes tuition, one-time admission charges, and on-campus accommodation. No separate hostel bill applies. In addition to the MBA, BITSoM offers four professional certificate programmes for working professionals.

The MBA fee bifurcation: tuition component INR 23,85,000 over two years, one-time admission fee INR 1,50,000, residential accommodation INR 3,00,000, and a refundable security deposit of INR 20,000. An application fee of INR 2,500 is payable at the time of submitting the admission application. Fees are collected in semester-wise or annual instalments per the schedule in the offer letter.

BITSoM Admission Process

MBA Admission

BITSoM does not follow any central counselling process. All MBA admissions are conducted directly by the institute through its own portal at bitsom.edu.in. The admission process is holistic and does not rely on test scores alone.

Eligibility requirements for the MBA:

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Final-year students may also apply.
• A valid score in CAT, GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, or GRE. All four test types are accepted.
• No official minimum graduation percentage is specified. Academic record is evaluated holistically.
• Work experience is not mandatory. Fresh graduates may apply. Relevant experience strengthens the overall profile.

The three-stage selection process at BITSoM:

• Stage 1 - Application and Profile Evaluation: Submit test score, undergraduate transcripts, two mandatory essays, resume, and co-curricular achievements. Pay the application fee of INR 2,500.
• Stage 2 - Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend a Personal Interview on campus. The panel evaluates communication skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership potential.
• Stage 3 - Final Merit: The final decision combines test score, academic record, essays, work experience, co-curricular profile, and interview performance.

Based on the 2026-28 batch profile, the median CAT percentile was 94.64 with a range of 80.09 to 99.41. The median GMAT was 700 (range 640 to 750) and the median GRE was 320. Candidates with a CAT percentile of 90 or above are competitive for a shortlist call.

BITSoM Placements

BITSoM placements are driven by the school’s Mumbai location and its direct connection to the BITS Pilani alumni network, spanning engineering and management professionals across industries. For the most recently completed batch (2025), 138 out of 152 registered students were placed.
