The faculty is best but the academic schedule was not so good, the courses per sem is 12 and sometimes it is tuff to handle and the syllabus was high i think but all over we have tight schedule classes timings from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm
The syllabus is well updated catering new scientific advances. In the final year we have RAWE and other internship program (vary with every department) giving us more exposure to industries and farmer lives. Faculties are well educated, most of them holding a doctorate degree.
Our course is updated very much. We have industrial exposure from first semester onwards. The facilities are very nice and I think prof. Subramanian is very good professor. He is always motivative and jovial person.
Our course (Agribusiness Management) curriculum was well framed according to the existing practices. Moreover, our course syllabus is an updated and an advanced combination of Agriculture and management studies. It encomprised of agriculture subjects like Agronomy, plant breeding and genetics, Pathology, Entomology, Soil science, Microbiology, biotechnology, etc and Management subjects like Managerial economics, Marketing management, Supply Chain Management, Food business management, HRM, Organizational behaviour ans many more interesting subjects along with yoga, physical education training and NSS/NCC. Also we had a very good Industrial exposure all over India. There will be atleast 4-5 IV's per semester. During the 3rd academic year students will be taken for "TamilNadu industrial tour" for 7 days and during the 4th academic year, students will be taken for "All India Tour" for 21 days. Mostly the Agriculture and food based industries and the Research Institutes will be visited during the tours. The faculties are very intellectual and student-friendly.
Since it an government operated campus academic fees are feasible which was also supported by different scholarships to students. Fees structure was completely transparent and there is no hidden charges or additional fees. Initially the mode of payment of college fees was through cash, bankers cheque or Demand draft issued by banks. Later online payments through SBI collect was initiated.
My degree course a bi-semester per year for four years. Each course has practical and theory parts, where the marks are given 50:50, respectively. Since it is an Agricultural degree most of curriculum is practical, crop production, agro industrial visits and field visits. On later part of our course we were tied up with state department of agriculture, private industries dealing with agricultural commodities, NGOs and village stay programme to impart knowledge on Agriculture sector.
The course if of four year duration divided into eight semesters. The fee can be paid semester wise and the fee structure per year is as follows: First year Second year Third year Fourth year Tuition fee 50,225 41,200 41,200 41,200 Total fee for the entire programme is Rs. 1,74,000.
The course curriculum is highly focussed on research in the field of agriculture. The course aim to develop critical thinking and problem solving abilities so that students can come up with ideas that are both sustainable and feasible. The exams are application based which test the practical knowledge.
The fees structure of is very feasible. Every year we should pay the semester fees of around 12thousand per each semester and then for materials and hostel and need fees will be sperate and should pay every month
The course curriculum is very good. The mid semester will be held for 20marks and the final practical for 40 Marks. The final theory will be university paper will held for 40 Marks and finally to a total of 100 Marks
yes we will be provided with more outdoor classes where we could gain more experiance. Course has been updated recently and exam pattern has been changed in order to improving students knowledge and practical knowledge
