In first yr anatomy physiology biochemistry it helps for the basics In second yr pathology microbiology pharmacology and dental materials In third yr it is oral pathology, general medicine,general surgery In fourth yr it includes all the dept of dentistry I think area to be improved is forensic dentistry, i think it should be included as a subject to study in detail. We get 1 month study leave before university exam And each exam has 3 hrs to write the exam

The curriculum involves both ancient and modern dentistry . It includes various subjects such as conservative dentistry prosthodontics periodontics public health dentistry oral pathology oral maxillofacialsurgery periorodints orthodontics and other medical subjects such as anatomy microbiology pathology physiology biochemistry general madicine pharmacology surgery

The curriculum enables us to deal with all types of dental problems that a patient can get and provides us with expertise and practical knowledge. Patient exposure is very high which enables us to become better dentist . Exams are quite difficult and you have to study hard

Dentistry is a growing branch internationally. We are being taught for better communication, health education, stress management, psychological strength, disaster management. We are more being focused in the technical part and i think should be more concerned in the clinical area

The curriculum that behind the bds studies are good . Bt some changes make some times more good and helping to students . According to us . Our examination is conducted in one yr that makes us lag to complete our course . And more than that there is examination back present in our that not present in mbbs course that make us more discomfort and confident less about the course . When one back they are separated from that batch and makes that student confidentless about the course . That law makes it confidentless and the changes occurred in that law makes it more happier

This course actually not only studying there is working also. We are dealing patients from our third year onwards. That is most important. We are studying both dental and medical subjects upto a level. Collages are also practicing us with dealing patients.

Initially was not interested in this course but when came to know the deep part of this course I really found worthy of joining this course since course is such an amazing hidden gem of profession al industry

The course is attractive and creative. It is less stress bearing and has the potential to develop your individual skills here . The drawback I see is the year back system in which students failed willnot get a chance for supplementary exam which is followed by mbbs. The curriculum has importance in clinical knowledge and practice. This improve the skills in procedures and patient compliance.

The course BDS is very tough and it has a lot of practical work than theory. It needs a lot of training and for some students, it takes more time to study and master in each department. Nowadays in India, this course is saturated. But if you are capable of doing better work you will get better opportunities. The UG course has less application than the clinical world. So we also learn more in clinics after graduation.
