Course Curriculum Overview

3

Dentistry is a growing branch internationally. We are being taught for better communication, health education, stress management, psychological strength, disaster management. We are more being focused in the technical part and i think should be more concerned in the clinical area

Internships Opportunities

2

There is one year compulsory internship for dentistry in our college itself. There is an average of 25000/- stipend per month. We have to work in every department each month and will have quota to fill.

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay an yearly fee of 28000/- and also an additional establishment fee of 4800/-.Also there is scholarship facility for students in different categories. SC and ST students will get their fee from government itself and it will directly get their fees paid. There is an additional mess fee for hostelers ranging from 2000/- to 4000/- per month

Campus Life

3

Campus life is good . We have many cultural events and celebrations. Thats the time when we loosen up ourselves and enjoy the moment. There will be onam celebration, college day, union inauguration programs, arts and sports programs, convocation. Library is really vast and we can get access to books without any complications. There are three lecture halls with projector based classes and mikes are available

Hostel Facilities

2

Room varies each year. So its difficult to rearrange and move again and again. Its small but comfortable rooms and better washroom facility. Meal quality is somewhat not nice. Hostel wardens are also not approachable and not good

Admission

I have applied for government dental college Kozhikode and trivandrum. I got admission in my current college through allotment procedures. No well i didn't get rejection from any other college , here the system is to join the college you are alloted to. We have to write NEET eligibility examination and score above 600 marks.

Faculty

2

1:5 faculty ratio is available. The faculties are helpful. The faculties in periodontics are extremely helpful and approachable. There will be 2 internals and one model examination conducted every year . Everyone should qualify either one internal and pass model exam to write university exam. If not the faculties will not allow you to write the university

Night Life

3

Night life is quite low around here . Basically a few shops will be open till 11 pm and after that nothing. In hostel we can enter and leave at any time with proper register maintenance. College time starts from 8 am to 3 pm

Good college to learn from but the management is very expensive and not very supportive but otherwise good faculty where we can learn if we try to. Good inpatient count so we get to have better experience and our quota forces us to do more.

Remarks:

The college provide great facilities with great staff. College excellent in academics, infrastructure and quality of education. Students have to bring their own instruments to most of the clinics and materials will be supplied by the college. Students should have min 40% internal marks and 80% attendance to appear for University exams. The college is strictly following that and no adjustments will be done

Positive: there is patients in our college. All other are negative. There is no enough staffs and teaches. Lack of equipment’s. The main issue is management will not allow to write university exam. They will say that this students will not pass so don’t allow him to write! And attendance is very important (80%).
