Because I wanted admission in my home town. I got seat in this college through my entrance exam and this college is near to my home. The college has good reputation and patients as well. This college is affiliated to AIIMS Rishikesh.
The placement and job opportunities are good. depending on the stundents academics,they are placed at good clinics and hospitals.
I wanted mbbs college but my marks were not that too high.as my health was not good. I suffered from a constant 103-degree fever and was on bed for one week. then I did not want to waste another year so I opted for dental.also my nanu who is a doctor himself encouraged me for taking dental as it has good scope. I took seema dental as it's in my native state.
It depends upon the student's performance and what he/she wants to do further and there is not so much patient coming as Rishikesh is not that big.
I'd heard that the OPD was pretty good, which it is most of the time. The environment of the college is nice too, the campus is clean and well maintained which I'd discovered on my first visit there before admission.
Students generally either open up their own clinics or look for government jobs. Some prepare for PG entrance exams. Some might even opt for jobs at private hospitals. Some who wish to teach can take up jobs as assistant staff but it's not exactly well paying.
To be very honest, there may be better colleges, but after my two months of research on more than 8 dental colleges in north India, I found that SDCH was best for me. Of course, there are many factors: The affordable fee. The fascinating and refreshing weather. The location of the college. The college has pg departments. Regular festival celebrations, Fest, Sports week, DJ nights, Etc. College is located on the bank of holy river ganga, you can witness daily sunrise through the mountains. I love the weather of Rishikesh as well as the location of college, it is located far from the city commotion. You can walk on the bank of river or jog daily or just sit there with your loved ones, you will...
As i have earlier said that BDS is not a course where you will be hired by compnies. Here you will have to set up your own clinic after course or you may join any higher hospital. THere is a misconception that this course has a lesser opportunity but belive me this is not true. After BDS you are a specialised doctor where you are treating patients only related to oral and maxillofacial issues but you at the same time you will be knowing all the general concepts whis a physican and general surgeon knows. You will be surprise to know that a person with MDS in oral and maxillofacial surgery( which is a higher degree after BDS) works with Brain and neurosurgons in higher and most difficult surge...
This institute provides good exposure to learning. And the nearby environment is very peaceful and has greenery. Campus and maintenance are good. The college is active in a sports events. And takes care of fitness. Therefore have a gym and swimming pool facilities.
Colleges provide the internship. As I said above. For medical college students, there is no special team assigned for jobs and stuff. And as there is an urgent need for doctors in our country. (According to a survey) so doctors easily get appointed and plus generally doctors start their own clinic.
Staff and laboratory with better equipments and faculty guiding for the best measures in dentistry. The environmemt and weather of rishikesh is quite good that makes me attract toward this college. Also the students got many golden opportunities to make themselves learn about the dentistry with the help of conferences and organizations.Alongwith that the college organize sports fest and cultural fest to appriciate the talents of students.
Best dental institute in uttarakhand. Our college has a seperate well equiped lab for each and every department seperate clinical and preclinical labs according to requirement also ug and pg labs are seperate. In extracurricular activities college possesses a fully air conditioned auditoriun. Badminton court. Tt table. Volleyball cum football. Basketball court and an indoor swimming pool.
This institution has the best faculty in terms of you say teaching, experience, helping and making your confidence reach heights. The college is situated in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of India and dentistry is a field where you have to work hard, you can't just keep on going like surgeons do who have their MBBS degree because the position in which we sit will give you spondylitis if you keep working for hours so this is a field where you have to be precise and show your skills as a Dentartist. You cannot just compare our degree to others, remember we all are where we should be.
