Sri Hasanamba Dental College and Hospital was established in the year 1991 under the aegis of Sri Hasanamba Education Trust in the Districts of Karnataka. The college was founded by Sri. Channe Gowda. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, approved by Government of Karnataka and Government of India, New Delhi and recognised by Dental council of India, New Delhi. The college offers 4 years B.D.S. and 3 years M.D.S.
The college is well-connected with major cities; it is 119 Km from Mysore, 171 Km from Mangalore and 187 Km from Bangalore. The Dental College & Hospital campus consists of the Preclinical & Medical block- consists of laboratories & preclinical departments including dissection hall, museum & seminar halls. It has well-equipped library with separate and spacious building, Computer section with broadband internet & HELINET facility, audio-visual aids for teaching & CD-ROMS on various subjects, separate hostel for boys and girls. The college organizes numerous activities for overall development of the students such as sports and games, cultural programmes, dental care campus etc.
