Dr DY Patil College of Pharmacy Akurdi (DYPCP Akurdi) is a private pharmacy institute established in 1999 by the DY Patil Education Society, located in Akurdi, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, Maharashtra. The six M.Pharm specialisations are: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Phytopharmacy and Phytomedicine. All M.Pharm specialisations carry the same fee structure.

DYPCP Akurdi Admission Process

Admission at DYPCP Akurdi follows Maharashtra state centralised admission rules for state quota seats. Management quota is available only for Pharm.D and M.Pharm.

B.Pharm and B.Pharm Lateral Entry

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, plus Mathematics or Biology, with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories)
  • Admission is entirely through DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds using MHT CET (PCB group) scores. No management quota for B.Pharm.
  • Selection stages: MHT CET registration and exam, DTE Maharashtra CAP registration, option form filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, and reporting to college
  • Lateral Entry: D.Pharma holders from PCI-approved institutions may apply through the DTE Maharashtra lateral entry process

D.Pharma

D.Pharma admission at DYPCP Akurdi is merit-based on 10+2 marks. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology. State authority conducts centralised admissions for D.Pharma seats. Out-of-Maharashtra candidates are eligible for institute-level quota seats only.

Pharm.D and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate

Pharm.D (6-year) admission is through MHT CET (PCB group) scores via DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds for state quota seats. Management quota seats are available for Pharm.D. Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate (3 years) is open to B.Pharm graduates and is filled through merit or management quota. The management quota Pharm.D fee is INR 14,46,689 over 6 years. M.Pharm

  • Eligibility: B.Pharm with minimum 55% aggregate (50% for reserved categories) from a PCI or AICTE-approved institution. Maharashtra domicile required for state quota seats.
  • Selection: GPAT score followed by Maharashtra PGCET counselling for state quota. Management quota is open to all candidates.
  • GPAT 2026 was held on March 7, 2026. Maharashtra PGCET counselling for M.Pharm is expected from August to October 2026.
