BSEAP Marking Scheme 2027

The BSEAP AP SSC 2027 marking scheme uses four question-type tiers — 1-mark, 2-mark, 4-mark, and 8-mark — consistent across all seven papers. No negative marking applies to any question type. If you leave a question blank or give a wrong answer, you score zero for that question and nothing is deducted from your total.

There is no negative marking in BSEAP AP SSC 2027 — you can attempt every question without penalty for wrong answers.

Section IV carries the highest marks per question at +8 — always use the internal choice to pick questions from topics you know best.

For partial-credit questions (such as multi-step Maths problems or short essays), BSEAP examiners award marks step-by-step. The paper tests Real Numbers, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Probability, and Coordinate Geometry with application-based and analytical questions as per NEP 2020 guidelines.

Note: Section IV prints 10 questions (5 pairs with alternatives); you attempt any 5. Arithmetic Progressions and Probability carry the highest chapter-wise weightage.

Physical Science (General Science Paper I)

Physical Science is a 50-mark, 17-question paper held for 2 hours 15 minutes. It covers Physics and Chemistry topics from the Class X syllabus. Internal choice is available for Question 12 in Section III and for all questions in Section IV. You need a minimum of 18 marks to pass this paper.

Biological Science (General Science Paper II)

BSEAP Question Types 2027

BSEAP Exam Pattern: Changes in 2027 vs 2026

The BSEAP 2027 official notification has not been released yet as of September 2026. No confirmed changes to the exam pattern have been announced. Note: The 2026 exam saw BSEAP continue its emphasis on application-based and conceptual questions under NEP 2020 guidelines. How to Prepare Based on BSEAP Exam Pattern

Your BSEAP AP SSC 2027 preparation strategy should be directly shaped by how the paper is structured — not just by what topics appear in the syllabus. The 4-section pattern, the internal choice in Section IV, and the 50-mark Science papers each create specific study priorities.

1. Prioritise Section IV for the highest marks gain. Section IV carries 40 marks in a 100-mark paper (40%) and 24 marks in the 50-mark Science papers (48%). Every Section IV question has an internal choice — study your strongest topics in each subject deeply so you can always pick the question that suits you best.
2. Secure quick marks in Section I. The 12 objective questions in Mathematics and 8 objective questions in each Science paper together give fast, near-certain marks if you revise concepts thoroughly. Make a formula and definition sheet for each subject and review it daily in the final weeks.
3. Practice Section III step-by-step. Short essay and problem questions (4 marks each) reward structured, step-by-step answers. For Mathematics, show every step in a calculation — examiners award partial marks per correct step even if the final answer is wrong. For Science, use diagrams where applicable.
4. Treat Physical Science and Biological Science as two full exams. Although each carries only 50 marks, you must pass both separately. A weakness in one cannot be covered by a strong performance in the other. Allocate distinct revision time to Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.
