Your school is responsible for verifying eligibility before submitting your form to NBSE. The key criteria for HSLC and HSSLC are summarised below.

How to Fill NBSE Application Form 2027

The NBSE 2027 application form was submitted through schools during October 2026. The registration window is now closed. The two-phase process below serves as a reference for the next cycle (NBSE 2028) and for students resolving pending corrections.

Phase 1: Student-Level Form Filling

1. Collect the NBSE application form from your class teacher or school office during the notification period (typically September–October each year).
2. Fill in your full name, date of birth, gender, category, and subject combination exactly as on your birth certificate and school records.
3. Attach a recent passport-size photograph (white background, 80% face visible, taken in the current academic year) at the designated space on the form.
4. Affix your signature in the space provided, in running handwriting, using black ink on white paper.
5. Attach all required documents as self-attested photocopies (see the Documents Required section for the full list).
6. Pay the application fee as directed by your school — fees are collected by the school and remitted to NBSE via demand draft or as per NBSE’s instructions.
7. Submit the completed form along with the fee receipt and all documents to your class teacher before the internal school deadline.

Phase 2: School Verification and NBSE Portal Submission

1. Your school’s Head of Institution verifies all student forms, checks attendance registers, and confirms each student’s eligibility.
2. The school logs into the NBSE portal at nbsenl.edu.in and enters all verified student data online within the notified deadline.
3. The school makes the consolidated fee payment to NBSE as per the board’s instructions (demand draft or as notified).
4. NBSE processes the forms and issues Admit Cards — these are distributed back to students through the school before the examination date.
5. Collect your Admit Card from your school and immediately verify all printed details — name, date of birth, subject, and exam centre.
6. Keep a photocopy of your submitted application form safe — it is required for future reference during result declaration and certificate collection.

Note: Submit only one application form through your school. Multiple applications from the same student will be rejected and the fee will not be refunded.

Note: NBSE has directed that no school or institution should collect any additional charges or security deposits from students beyond the fee prescribed by the board for forwarding application forms. Report any such demands to NBSE.

The NBSE 2027 application fee differs for HSLC (Class 10) and HSSLC (Class 12) examinations and by student type. Fees are collected by your school and remitted in bulk to NBSE — students do not pay the board directly. Students with disabilities are fully exempted from the examination fee on submission of a valid government-issued disability certificate.

Payment mode: Fees are collected at your school and remitted to NBSE via Demand Draft or as directed in the NBSE official notification. No individual student makes direct payment to the board. Cash payments to the school are standard; individual cheques are not accepted by NBSE.

Note: The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances — even if your form is rejected, you do not appear for the examination, or you withdraw after submission.

NBSE Application Form Correction 2027

NBSE typically allows a limited correction window after the application submission deadline closes. For the 2027 cycle, the correction window dates have not yet been officially announced as of November 2026. 3. Submit supporting documents for any factual correction (e.g., birth certificate for a date-of-birth change, category certificate for a category correction).
4. After the correction is processed, collect the revised acknowledgement slip from your school and verify all updated details immediately.
