Ex.1 What is the maximum exterior angle for a polygon?

Soln: In an equilateral triangle, every exterior angle 1200. The maximum value of the exterior angle possible is 1200.  We know that each exterior angle of a regular polygon is equal to 360/number of sides of the polygon.

Hence 360/3 =120.

Ex. 2 State True or False

  1. A polygon with at least one angle more than 1800 is called a convex polygon.
  2. The sum of all the interior angles of a convex polygon of sides 7 is 900°.
  3. The angle sum of a convex polygon with 8 sides is 1080°.
