UPSEE MBA 2019 Exam Pattern will provide an insight on the marking scheme, number of sections and marks distribution. Before starting their preparation, it is important for candidates to obtain complete knowledge regarding paper pattern and syllabus. It will be released by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), U.P.
This year, UPSEE MBA is scheduled for May 6, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in online (computer-based) mode. The state-level examination is conducted for candidates seeking admissions to various post-graduate management programs, offered by about 350 institutes in Uttar Pradesh. As mentioned in the table above, UPSEE MBA 2019 is a computer-based exam and will be held in online mode only. Candidates will be required to mark their answers on the computer screen, making use of the mouse provided.
UPSEE MBA 2019 question paper will consist of four sections, each with 25 questions. The sections will be that of English language, Numerical aptitude, Thinking and Decision making and General Awareness. Candidates will have to solve problems from all four sections and attain the highest possible score.
As far as marking scheme is concerned, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. In case a candidate gets an answer wrong, there will be no negative penalty. This is a bonus point and candidates should make the most out of it by attempting each and every question. It may be noted, however, that the examination conducting body will keep a record of all the wrong answers.
After the exam has been successfully held, the results will be announced on the official website of UPSEE. Candidates must check the latest updates released on the website.
It is important for a candidate to possess complete and thorough knowledge of the syllabus for UPSEE MBA 2019. This section will have questions from English language and grammar. It tests a candidate’s language and comprehension skills. The comprehension questions will test the ability to comprehend the meaning from a given passage. Questions about the language usage and their rules are also expected to appear in the exam. Testing the understanding of basic grammar is also part of the exam.
Questions from topics such as grammar, vocabulary and sentence completion may be asked. Applicants should expect some problems pertaining to uncommon words, synonyms, antonyms, the relationship between words and phrases and also, comprehension of passages.
Preparation Tips: To prepare for the English language section, candidate needs to inculcate a reading habit. The best way to understand the usage of grammar and vocabulary is to read lots of instances of it. This will also help students with the questions on passages as a fast reading pace will be essential while solving such questions.

This section focuses on numerical problems and will test a candidate’s mathematical knowledge. It is a test of speed, accuracy, and precision. This section may feature problems involving numerical calculation, arithmetic, simple algebra. Questions from topics of geometry and trigonometry may also be included. Some of the problems may involve interpretation of graphs, charts and tables.
Preparation Tips: Numerical Ability is a section that demands the maximum amount of practice on the student’s part. Candidates must have clear understanding of the basics and know all the formulas by heart. Practicingan ample number of problems varying in difficulty level will be advantageous for candidates.

The third section of the question paper will be aimed at assessing a candidate’s aptitude towards creative thinking, unfamiliar relationships, and finding patterns and trends. The questions may be centered on verbal reasoning and assessment of figures and diagrams.
Preparation Tips: the section of Thinking and Decision making, it is especially recommended to go through questions from past years’ papers, as it will provide a strong concept of the type of questions asked and how exactly to solve them. Practicing verbal reasoning puzzles may also be of help.
Here, in the last part of the question paper, the candidate’s knowledge of current affairs will be tested. Students can expect questions from issues related to trade, industry, economy, sports, culture and science.
Preparation Tips: Preparation of General Awareness consists of reading the newspapers regularly and staying up to date regarding the current affairs of the world. Magazines such as Outlook and India Today may also prove to be hugely beneficial.
