Frankfurt School of Finance & Management fees for Indian students range from €35,500 (INR 32.66 Lakhs) for a Master in Management to €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) for the flagship Master of Finance and Full-time MBA, with the BSc in Business Administration billed at €8,200 per semester (INR 7.54 Lakhs). The school’s private, English-taught model sits above public German university fees but well below top US or UK business schools, and it is the only German business school ranked #1 in Germany for the QS Global MBA 2026.
The September 2026 intake is effectively closed for Indian applicants, the non-EU MBA deadline of 31 May 2026 has passed and the 24 August 2026 Master start leaves too little runway for the 8 to 12 week German student visa process. Your realistic entry is the September 2027 intake, with applications for pre-experience Masters typically opening in October 2026 and MBA non-EU review closing 31 May 2027.
Budget INR 68 to 72 Lakhs for a two-year Master (tuition plus Frankfurt living), roughly INR 54 Lakhs for the 12-month Full-time MBA, and about INR 1.07 Crore for the 3.5-year BSc including living costs. Exchange rate used throughout: 1 EUR = INR 92 (xe.com, 28 July 2026).
September 2027 Intake: Planning Window Now Open for Indian Applicants
Intake: The August/September 2026 intake is closed for practical purposes for Indian applicants; the 8 to 12 week Schengen student visa pipeline through VFS Global cannot clear in time. Realistic entry is September 2027 (MSc: 24 August 2027 start; MBA and BSc: 1 September 2027 start). Frankfurt School does not run a January intake for the flagship English-taught Masters or the Full-time MBA.
Fee update: The current 2026/27 rate is €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) for Master of Finance and Full-time MBA, €35,500 (INR 32.66 Lakhs) for Master in Management, FinTech, and AI & Data Science, and €39,000 (INR 35.88 Lakhs) for Master in Real Estate. Expect a 3 to 5 percent uplift for the September 2027 cohort.
When to pay: A tuition deposit is due on offer acceptance to secure your seat and trigger the Zulassungsbescheid (admission letter used for the visa file); the balance is paid semester-wise through the programme. Full instalment structure and payment methods appear in the Tuition Deposit and Payment Options section.
Scholarships: Deutschlandstipendium (€300/month, INR 27,600/month) for the 2026/27 academic year closed 11 June 2026; the next cycle runs to 11 June 2027. General MSc Scholarship and Global Development Scholarship for the September 2027 Master intake close 30 June 2027. MBA scholarships (up to 30 percent tuition reduction) remain rolling.

Frankfurt School charges a single total programme fee rather than a variable annual tuition, so the number you see is the complete academic cost from enrolment to graduation. The Full-time MBA and Master of Finance sit at the €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) top of the fee ladder; other pre-experience Masters cluster between €35,500 and €39,000 (INR 32.66 to 35.88 Lakhs). All English-taught degrees carry the same €100 (INR 9,200) application fee and €400 (INR 36,800) one-time enrolment fee, so those constants are folded into a footnote below each table rather than repeated per row.
All Masters are two-year, 120-ECTS, English-taught programmes billed as a total fee. Master of Finance carries the premium price tag, reflecting its FT world rank of #41 and QS world rank of #47. The Full-time MBA is a compressed 12-month, career-accelerator programme with a minimum 3 years of work experience.
| Programme | Total Fee (EUR) | Total Fee (INR) | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Master of Finance | €42,000 | INR 38.64 Lakhs | 4 semesters |
| Master in Management | €35,500 | INR 32.66 Lakhs | 4 semesters |
| Master in Financial Technology | €35,500 | INR 32.66 Lakhs | 4 semesters |
| Master of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science | €35,500 | INR 32.66 Lakhs | 4 semesters |
| Master in Real Estate | €39,000 | INR 35.88 Lakhs | 4 semesters |
| Full-time MBA | €42,000 | INR 38.64 Lakhs | 12 months |
Source: Frankfurt School programme pages, frankfurt-school.de (verified 20 July 2026). Application fee of €100 (INR 9,200) and enrolment fee of €400 (INR 36,800) apply to every programme.
The BSc in Business Administration is a 7-semester (3.5-year) programme billed per semester at €8,200 (INR 7.54 Lakhs), and the total programme fee lands at €57,400 (INR 52.81 Lakhs). The two newer BSc streams (Computational Business Analytics; Management, Philosophy & Economics) mirror the same per-semester structure at the current published rate.
| Programme | Per Semester (EUR) | Per Semester (INR) | Total (7 semesters) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bachelor in Business Administration (BSc) | €8,200 | INR 7.54 Lakhs | INR 52.81 Lakhs |
| Bachelor in Computational Business Analytics (BSc) | €8,200 | INR 7.54 Lakhs | INR 52.81 Lakhs |
| Bachelor in Management, Philosophy & Economics (BSc) | €8,200 | INR 7.54 Lakhs | INR 52.81 Lakhs |

Note: Frankfurt School quotes a single total fee for each Master, not a per-year tuition, so the €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) for Master of Finance is what you actually pay over the full four semesters; there is no separate second-year hike within your cohort. The €57,400 (INR 52.81 Lakhs) BSc total, however, is a projection based on the current €8,200 per semester rate holding constant; if the semester rate rises by 3 to 4 percent for later semesters, budget an extra INR 3 to 4 Lakhs.
Frankfurt School locks the total tuition for your Master or MBA cohort at the time of enrolment, so once you accept the September 2027 offer, the €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) Master of Finance ticket cannot be repriced mid-programme. New-cohort fees, however, do move: private German business schools typically raise headline tuition by 2 to 4 percent per intake to match faculty and facilities investment (Frankfurt School put €110 million, INR 1,012 Crore into its new campus in 2017 and continues to invest).
| Intake Year | Master of Finance Total (EUR) | Total (INR) | Cohort Movement |
|---|---|---|---|
| September 2025 | €42,000 | INR 38.64 Lakhs | Verified rate |
| September 2026 | €42,000 | INR 38.64 Lakhs | Held flat |
| September 2027 (indicative) | €43,300 to €43,700 | INR 39.84 to 40.20 Lakhs | Projected 3 to 4% uplift |
Source: Frankfurt School current fee pages, frankfurt-school.de (verified 20 July 2026). 2027 line is a planning projection, not a published rate, and will be replaced when Frankfurt School posts the September 2027 tuition.
Key Insight: Your realistic entry, September 2027, sits at the projected 2027/28 rate. If the current €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) Master of Finance fee rises to €43,700 (INR 40.20 Lakhs), you pay roughly INR 1.56 Lakhs more over the two-year programme than a September 2026 admit. Locking a General MSc Scholarship (deadline 30 June 2027) can offset that entire uplift by itself.
Frankfurt is Germany’s finance capital and one of its more expensive cities, tracking above Berlin or Leipzig on rent but below Munich. A realistic monthly budget for a Frankfurt School student is €1,350 to €1,500 (INR 1.24 to 1.38 Lakhs), which lands well above the €992 per month German blocked account visa minimum. Health insurance is mandatory for every student under 30 and cannot be waived.
| Expense | Monthly (EUR) | Monthly (INR) | Annual (INR) | Notes for Indian Students |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rent (shared flat or studio) | €700 to €900 | INR 64,400 to 82,800 | INR 7.73 to 9.94 Lakhs | WG (shared apartment) is standard; Bornheim, Ostend, Sachsenhausen are affordable |
| Groceries and food | €250 | INR 23,000 | INR 2.76 Lakhs | REWE, Aldi, Lidl; Indian groceries in Bahnhofsviertel |
| Public transport | €63 | INR 5,796 | INR 69,552 | Deutschlandticket (all Germany, all trains except ICE) |
| Statutory health insurance | €130 | INR 11,960 | INR 1.44 Lakhs | TK or AOK; mandatory for students under 30 |
| Utilities and internet | €80 | INR 7,360 | INR 88,320 | Often bundled in warm rent (Warmmiete) |
| Personal, phone, leisure | €150 | INR 13,800 | INR 1.66 Lakhs | Broadband and mobile plans from €15 to €25 |
| Total | €1,373 to €1,573 | INR 1.26 to 1.45 Lakhs | INR 15.17 to 17.36 Lakhs | Frankfurt sits above Berlin but below Munich |
Sources: Numbeo Frankfurt cost of living, Deutschlandticket pricing at bahn.de, and blocked account minimum published by the German Federal Foreign Office. Frankfurt School’s own international office does not publish a city-specific cost breakdown; figures above are triangulated from these public sources (verified 28 July 2026).
Note: Frankfurt School is in Nordend, a 20-minute U-Bahn ride from the city centre. Rents inside a 2 km walk of the Adickesallee campus are 20 to 30 percent higher than the same-size flat one U-Bahn stop further out, so a Bornheim or Preungesheim WG saves roughly INR 15,000 to 20,000 a month without adding real commute time.
Frankfurt has a genuine Indian grocery footprint around Bahnhofsviertel and Hauptbahnhof, where South Asian stores stock atta, dal, spices, and frozen paneer at prices roughly 10 to 15 percent above Indian retail. Eating in through the week and reserving the €12 to €18 (INR 1,100 to 1,660) mensa lunches or restaurant meals for weekends is the biggest lever on food cost.
Currency Tip: Fund your Sperrkonto (blocked account) for the September 2027 intake in two tranches, half by January 2027 and half by April 2027, using the days when 1 EUR trades below your budget rate. A 3 percent swing on the €11,904 (INR 10.95 Lakhs) blocked deposit is worth roughly INR 33,000, more than a month of Frankfurt rent.
The all-in Indian-student cost lands at roughly INR 68 to 72 Lakhs for a two-year Master, INR 54 to 57 Lakhs for the 12-month Full-time MBA, and about INR 1.07 Crore for the 3.5-year BSc. Tuition is the biggest line item for the Masters and MBA; for the BSc, living cost across seven semesters overtakes tuition.
| Scenario | Tuition | Living | Mandatory Fees | Total Year 1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Master of Finance (Year 1 of 2) | €21,000 (INR 19.32 Lakhs) | €16,800 (INR 15.46 Lakhs) | €575 (INR 52,900) | INR 35.30 Lakhs |
| Master in Management (Year 1 of 2) | €17,750 (INR 16.33 Lakhs) | €16,800 (INR 15.46 Lakhs) | €575 (INR 52,900) | INR 32.31 Lakhs |
| Full-time MBA (12 months, all-in) | €42,000 (INR 38.64 Lakhs) | €16,800 (INR 15.46 Lakhs) | €575 (INR 52,900) | INR 54.62 Lakhs |
| BSc Business Administration (Year 1 of 3.5) | €16,400 (INR 15.09 Lakhs) | €14,000 (INR 12.88 Lakhs) | €575 (INR 52,900) | INR 28.50 Lakhs |
Living for Masters and MBA assumes 12 months at €1,400/month; BSc Year 1 uses 10 months at €1,400 to reflect the summer semester break for undergrads. Mandatory Fees = €100 application (INR 9,200) + €400 enrolment (INR 36,800) + €75 student visa (INR 6,900). Sources: Frankfurt School programme fee pages, German student visa fees at india.diplo.de.
For the full Master of Finance (2 years, tuition plus Frankfurt living plus fees), plan for roughly INR 70 Lakhs. Financed with an education loan at 10.5 percent over 10 years, that translates to an EMI of about INR 94,000 per month; the Full-time MBA at INR 54 to 55 Lakhs total maps to an EMI of about INR 73,000 per month.
Key Insight: A General MSc Scholarship (partial tuition, deadline 30 June 2027) plus the Deutschlandstipendium at €300/month (INR 27,600/month, deadline 11 June 2027) can strip roughly INR 4 to 6 Lakhs off your all-in Master of Finance cost. That is the single controllable move worth making before your September 2027 offer letter arrives; missing both deadlines is the same as paying a full extra semester of Frankfurt rent.
Frankfurt School runs a scholarship pool that combines its own institutional awards with Germany-wide funding, and Indian applicants are eligible for the pre-experience Master track (General MSc, Global Development) plus the MBA merit awards. There is no scholarship-only form for institutional awards on most programmes; you are automatically considered when you submit the standard application by the funding deadline.
| Scholarship | Value | Programme | Deadline (Sept 2027 Intake) |
|---|---|---|---|
| President’s Scholarship (BSc) | Up to 100% tuition reduction | All BSc programmes | Application deadline |
| General MSc Scholarship | Partial tuition coverage | All pre-experience Masters | 30 June 2027 |
| Global Development Scholarship | Partial tuition coverage | Applicants from developing economies (India-eligible) | 30 June 2027 |
| MBA High-Performing / Entrepreneur / Women in Business / Diversity | Up to 30% tuition reduction | Full-time MBA | Rolling |

The Deutschlandstipendium is the standout: €300 per month (INR 27,600 per month) for one academic year, half funded by the German federal government and half by private donors, with no repayment. It is open to Bachelor and Master students at Frankfurt School and re-opens for the 2027/28 academic year on the same June cycle.
| Scholarship | Value | Eligibility | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deutschlandstipendium | €300/month (INR 27,600/month) | Bachelor and Master students at Frankfurt School | 11 June 2027 (2027/28 academic year) |
| DAAD Study Scholarships for Foreign Graduates | €992/month (INR 91,264/month) | Indian graduates entering Masters in Germany | Late October 2026 (typical DAAD cycle) |

Tip for Indian Students: For the September 2027 intake, front-load your Master application to reach Frankfurt School before 30 June 2027; that single date decides General MSc Scholarship and Global Development Scholarship eligibility. Then hold the Deutschlandstipendium (deadline 11 June 2027) for once you have accepted the offer, since only enrolled Frankfurt School students can apply, and stack Inlaks or JN Tata on top for the balance.

After you accept your Frankfurt School offer, a tuition deposit is due to secure your seat and trigger the Zulassungsbescheid (formal admission letter used for your German student visa application). The deposit counts against your total tuition and is stated in your individual offer letter; it is generally non-refundable once the visa file has been issued in your name.
Source: Frankfurt School fees and financing pages under each programme, frankfurt-school.de (verified 20 July 2026).
Tip for Indian Students: Once your September 2027 offer arrives, initiate the deposit bank transfer at least 10 working days before the deadline stated in your letter; RBI’s LRS remittance clearance plus Frankfurt School’s reconciliation window typically eats 5 to 7 working days end-to-end. Missing the deposit deadline forfeits the seat regardless of the visa timeline.
For the September 2027 intake, the most time-sensitive hidden cost is the blocked account, which must be funded and confirmed before you can even book the visa slot. Everything else stacks on top over the first 90 days in Frankfurt.
Budget approximately INR 3 to 4 Lakhs for first-year hidden costs, on top of the blocked account cash you must show but eventually get back.
Note: The one hidden cost most Indian families miss is statutory health insurance at TK or AOK, roughly €130 per month (INR 11,960), which is mandatory from the day you register your address in Frankfurt. It is not optional, cannot be substituted with an Indian travel-insurance plan for a stay over 90 days, and its enrolment number is a prerequisite for university matriculation.
For a September 2027 admit, the highest-value saving lever is stacking the General MSc Scholarship with the Deutschlandstipendium before the June 2027 deadlines; the second-highest is exercising your German work rights and the 18-month post-study Jobseeker visa to keep the education loan EMI comfortably below your starting Frankfurt salary.
Tip for Indian Students: For the September 2027 intake, the single highest-value move is submitting your Master application with all documents before 30 June 2027 so you are in the General MSc Scholarship pool. Partial tuition coverage at Frankfurt School typically lands in the €3,000 to €5,000 range (INR 2.76 to 4.60 Lakhs); that is a larger post-tax return than any part-time job you can hold in your first semester.
At an all-in INR 68 to 72 Lakhs for the two-year Master of Finance or INR 54 to 57 Lakhs for the 12-month Full-time MBA, Frankfurt School is a defensible spend: it is Germany’s #1 business school in the QS Global MBA 2026 ranking and THE Global Employability 2026, its FT Global MBA weighted salary sits at USD 124,933 (INR 1.08 Crore), and its Full-time MBA cohort reports 81 percent employment within three months of graduation.
The Master of Finance is ranked #41 globally (FT Masters in Finance 2026) and #2 in Germany, feeding directly into Deutsche Bank, DZ Bank, KfW, DekaBank, JP Morgan Frankfurt, ECB, and the Big Four’s Frankfurt offices. Germany’s 18-month post-study Jobseeker residence permit for international graduates remains in force on the generation date of this article, and the EU Blue Card pathway triggers at a €45,300 (INR 41.68 Lakhs) gross annual salary threshold for 2026, well below Frankfurt School graduate-median starting pay.
On the numbers: a full INR 70 Lakhs Master of Finance loan at 10.5 percent over 10 years is roughly INR 94,000 per month EMI. A first-year Frankfurt salary in banking or consulting of €65,000 to €75,000 (INR 59.80 to 69.00 Lakhs, or roughly INR 5 to 5.75 Lakhs a month gross) leaves the EMI at under 20 percent of take-home, a comfortable payback ratio. The FT-reported 151 percent three-year salary uplift for the Full-time MBA cohort shortens the payback horizon further.
Key Insight: Net cost after a stacked General MSc Scholarship and Deutschlandstipendium for the September 2027 Master of Finance intake lands closer to INR 64 to 65 Lakhs all-in. Against a first-year Frankfurt banking salary of INR 60 to 69 Lakhs, that is a single-year gross-salary payback on the entire two-year investment, which is why the FT ranks Frankfurt School #41 for Masters in Finance value-for-money.
For the September 2027 intake, budget INR 68 to 72 Lakhs all-in for a two-year Master or INR 54 to 57 Lakhs for the 12-month Full-time MBA at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, with a General MSc Scholarship plus Deutschlandstipendium capable of pulling that down by INR 4 to 6 Lakhs. A full loan-financed Master of Finance translates to roughly INR 94,000 per month EMI against a realistic first-year Frankfurt banking salary of INR 60 to 69 Lakhs, a comfortable ratio. The one action that decides your total: submit a complete Master application before 30 June 2027 so you are in the institutional scholarship pool from day one.

Ques. Can I realistically start the September 2026 intake at Frankfurt School if I apply now from India?
Ans. No. The Full-time MBA non-EU deadline of 31 May 2026 has passed, and the German student visa pipeline (8 to 12 weeks through VFS Global) cannot clear before the 24 August 2026 Master start or the 1 September 2026 MBA start. Your realistic entry is the September 2027 intake, with Master applications typically opening in October 2026 and the MBA non-EU deadline landing 31 May 2027.
Ques. What is the total cost of studying at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for Indian students including living?
Ans. Plan for INR 68 to 72 Lakhs for a two-year Master (Master of Finance or Master in Management with Frankfurt living costs), INR 54 to 57 Lakhs for the 12-month Full-time MBA, and about INR 1.07 Crore for the 3.5-year BSc. Tuition is the single biggest cost line for Masters and MBA; for the BSc, living cost across 7 semesters overtakes tuition.
Ques. What scholarships are available at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management for Indian students?
Ans. Frankfurt School offers the General MSc Scholarship (partial tuition, deadline 30 June 2027), Global Development Scholarship (partial tuition for developing-economy applicants including India, 30 June 2027), MBA merit awards up to 30 percent tuition reduction (rolling), and the President’s Scholarship for BSc applicants (up to 100 percent tuition). Germany-wide Deutschlandstipendium adds €300 per month (INR 27,600) for one academic year, deadline 11 June 2027. Indian trust awards like Inlaks, JN Tata, KC Mahindra, and Narotam Sekhsaria stack on top.
Ques. How much is the application fee and enrolment fee at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management?
Ans. The application fee is €100 (INR 9,200), one-time and non-refundable. The enrolment fee is €400 (INR 36,800), payable once your seat is confirmed. Both apply to every English-taught programme.
Ques. How much is the cost of living in Frankfurt for Indian students at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management?
Ans. A realistic Frankfurt student budget is €1,350 to €1,500 (INR 1.24 to 1.38 Lakhs) per month, roughly INR 15 to 17 Lakhs per year. Rent in a WG (shared flat) in Bornheim or Ostend runs €700 to €900 (INR 64,400 to 82,800); the Deutschlandticket for all-Germany public transport is €63 (INR 5,796) per month; statutory health insurance at TK or AOK is €130 (INR 11,960) per month and is mandatory for students under 30.
Ques. Does Frankfurt School of Finance & Management have a January intake?
Ans. Frankfurt School does not run a January intake for its flagship English-taught pre-experience Masters or the Full-time MBA. Master programmes start in late August (24 August 2027 for the next cycle) and the Full-time MBA and Bachelor programmes start on 1 September. Executive Master and part-time programmes have their own separate calendars.
Ques. What is the EMI on an education loan for Frankfurt School of Finance & Management?
Ans. An INR 70 Lakhs loan for the Master of Finance (all-in cost) at 10.5 percent over 10 years is roughly INR 94,000 per month EMI. A Full-time MBA at INR 54 to 55 Lakhs total maps to about INR 73,000 per month. Both sit under 20 percent of a typical starting Frankfurt banking or consulting salary of INR 5 to 5.75 Lakhs per month gross.
Ques. Is the Sperrkonto (blocked account) money a cost or is it returned?
Ans. The €11,904 (INR 10.95 Lakhs) blocked account deposit is not a cost, it is returned to you as €992 (INR 91,264) monthly withdrawals across your first 12 months in Germany. It is a cash-flow lock-up that satisfies the German student visa funding proof, and it must be set up with Fintiba, Expatrio, or Deutsche Bank before you can book your VFS appointment. Only the provider setup fee of €89 to €150 (INR 8,190 to 13,800) is a real one-time cost.
Ques. Does Frankfurt School allow part-time work for Indian students to offset fees?
Ans. Yes. Indian students on a German student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester (120 full days or 240 half days per year). Frankfurt’s finance ecosystem offers working-student roles at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, DZ Bank, DekaBank, and the Big Four at €13 to €18 (INR 1,196 to 1,656) per hour, and a realistic €600 per month (INR 55,200) contribution offsets roughly INR 13 Lakhs across a two-year Master.
Ques. What is the deposit amount to secure a Frankfurt School of Finance & Management seat?
Ans. The tuition deposit is stated in your individual offer letter and counts against your total tuition. It is due on offer acceptance and triggers the Zulassungsbescheid (admission letter used for your German student visa file). Once the visa file is issued in your name, the deposit is generally non-refundable, so time the payment only after you are confident of accepting the offer.

My experience at my college ( till now) has been exceptionally and fulfilling. The institution has provided me with a wealth of knowledge and practical skills, particularly in the field of management.
I chose this university because of the flexibility to work part-time in a corporate/start-up along with studies.
