Established in 2006, Karlruhe School of Optics & Photonics was founded to provide world class education in the field of optics and photonics to the students from across the globe. Currently the institute has 16 professors in Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Chemistry and Biosciences, as well as Mechanical Engineering.

  1. a) The institute offers excellent education from well known professors in Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Chemistry and Biosciences, as well as Mechanical Engineering. It also focuses on research work for scientists and engineers and hence all the fields are interlinked.

  1. b) Situated in the downtown of Karlsruhe this institute offers a world class campus that is well equipped with all amenities.
  • It offers library service which has millions of books and more than 28000 magazines which is easily accessible by all the students.

Residence

  1. c) The general cost of living in Germany is around 500 - 800 €. There are a lot of single and sharing basis accommodations available for the students.
  • 200 - 250 €/per month for a single room in student residences
  • 250 - 350 €/per month for a room in a shared flat
  • 300 - 400 €/per month for a one-person appartment
  • 500 - 600 €/per month for a flat for two persons
