The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has opened the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 counselling registration on the official portal at dte-assambtech.samarth.edu.in. Qualified candidates must complete their registration by July 17, 2026.

The counselling process is being conducted for admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programmes in Government Engineering Colleges of Assam. The registration window opened on July 10, 2026, and runs for eight days.

Registration is mandatory for every candidate who wishes to be considered for seat allotment. A qualified rank in Assam CEE 2026 alone does not secure a seat. Candidates must complete the registration, fee payment, and choice locking within the stated window.

How to Register for Assam CEE 2026 Counselling?

What Happens After Registration?

Once registration closes, the portal will move to the choice filling and locking stage. Candidates will select and rank their preferred college and BTech branch combinations. Only locked choices will be considered for seat allotment.

Seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s Assam CEE 2026 rank, category, choice preferences, and seat availability. Candidates who are allotted a seat must pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the allotted institute within the specified deadline.
