BHU to conduct Semester Exams 2020 in the form of Assignment Based Tests

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) recently declared that the semester exams 2020 will be conducted in the form of Assignment Based Tests. 


This decision of BHU was taken after taking into consideration the COVID-19 pandemic and its adverse impact on the flow of the education system in India and the rest of the world. 

The university has scheduled the semester exams for final year and intermediate semester students. Reports suggest that the Executive Council of the varsity has given its nod to conduct the semester exams 2020-21 in the form of Assignment Based Tests.

A formal notification will soon be announced by the university entailing the details and specifications regarding the Assignment Based Exams and the way in which they will be conducted for students across all departments. 

The university has also confirmed that according to the new format of evaluation, the students will receive assignments over email. Students would then be given a duration of 15 days to complete the assignments and submit them to the respective faculty members. 

Students will then be awarded the marks based on the quality of the assignments. The university has given time till August 31 to all the departments to conclude the evaluation process.
