Jadavpur University located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The university has two campuses, the main campus is in Jadavpur and the new campus is in Salt Lake. Jadavpur University is a public state university. The University imparts various Undergraduate, Postgraduate courses such as B.Tech, BA, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Pharma, MA, M.Ed, M.Tech, M.Phil, PhD along with Certification programmes.

University also imparts UG & PG Diploma. University follows even and odd semester system. Even semester exams conduct in May or June and Odd semester exams conduct in mid of December.

The Jadavpur University has been ranked within Top 10 research institutions as per a report by International Comparative Performance of India’s Research Base. University gives admission in technical courses through different entrance test and for the rest of them, it is based on merit.
