Date: February 28, 2020
School of law, The NorthCap University in association with the Ministry of Law, Government of India, is celebrating the 70th year of adoption of the Constitution by running an Awareness Campaign with a focus on fundamental duties as enshrined in the Indian constitution. In the background of it, the Ministry of Law has collaborated with the School of law, The NorthCap University, to conduct seminars/conferences/Talks on fundamental/citizen duties, organize talks/lectures, and essay/quiz competitions on fundamental duties.
Recently, a legal awareness Quiz, ‘Men’s Curea’, was organized by the School of law. One of the rounds in the quiz was based on the fundamental duties of citizens. During this round, questions were asked from fundamental duties. Apart from this, a 30 minutes session was also conducted by an expert from ‘LAWIT’ in which students of the university were informed about fundamental duties.
In the coming days, various expert lectures by renowned persons have been planned by the school of law to highlight the importance of fundamental duties. The students of the school of law will also be visiting various schools to bring awareness among school children about the duties of the citizens and how to inculcate these duties in their life. The purpose of these activities is to make the law students a part of the nation-building program where people are not just concerned about their rights but of their duties too.
