CAT 2026 Fee Payment Window Extended to September 24; No Extension for Registration

The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) issued a fresh notice on September 22, 2026. IIM Indore has extended the CAT 2026 fee payment window until September 24, 2026, at 5 PM. However, the registration deadline remains September 22, 2026, at 5 PM. The official notice is available on iimcat.ac.in.

Only aspirants who complete their online registration by September 22 can use the extended payment window. IIM Indore has ruled out any late registration option for CAT 2026. The extension applies strictly to the application fee payment and not to fresh registrations.

The additional two-day payment window is available only to a specific group of applicants. IIM Indore has clearly distinguished between registration and fee payment. The following conditions apply:

• Candidates must complete the CAT 2026 registration by September 22, 2026, at 5 PM.
• They must have submitted the application form on iimcat.ac.in.
• Only the pending application fee payment can be completed until September 24, 2026, at 5 PM.
• Fresh registrations after September 22 will not be accepted.

How to Pay the CAT 2026 Application Fee?

The CAT 2026 application fee must be paid online through the official CAT portal. Candidates should follow these steps:

1. Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Log in using the registered user ID and password.
3. Open the CAT 2026 application form and navigate to the fee payment section.
4. Select an online payment method such as net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
5. Pay Rs 2,700 or Rs 1,350, depending on the applicable category.
6. Save the payment confirmation receipt and download the completed application form.

1. Complete your CAT 2026 registration on iimcat.ac.in by September 22, 5 PM.
2. Verify all personal, academic, and category details before final submission.
3. Keep your debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI ID ready.
4. Pay the application fee by September 24, 2026, 5 PM.
5. Save the payment receipt and a printed copy of the form.
