The Central Board of Secondary Education opened the correction window for a LOC with a fine, the deadline to make the changes is Jan 8, 2024
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has issued a notice to schools regarding the Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 Board Exams. The Board had earlier directed the schools to upload the list of candidates (LOC) who will be appearing for the board exams this year.
Schools are requesting the CBSE to correct the data of some students. Considering this request, the Central Board of Secondary Education has opened the LOC correction window on the official website of CBSE for the schools to make necessary changes. However, the schools are fined INR 1000 per student to make the changes in the CBSE Application.
Official Notice of CBSE reads, “Such requests by schools show that schools were not serious while finalizing LOC as data was filled in by them during registration more than a year ago. Looking into the request raised by schools, the Board has developed an online system for proposing the corrections in data through the Pariksha Sangam website.”

Schools can log in to the website using their allotted User ID and Password and correct the data, there will not be any kind of changes made in the name of the candidate, parent’s name, and date of birth. Correction will be allowed for errors while the complete name of the candidate can not be changed.
The correction link is activated from Jan 4, 2024, and the Deadline to make the changes is Jan 8, 2024. Once corrections are submitted, will be checked by the Regional Office. If the corrections are as per the rules, they will be accepted otherwise not.
