CBSE Releases Guidelines and Risks of Cheating in Class 10 and 12 Practical Exams; Check Details Here

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education is preparing for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Practical Exams set between January 1 and February 14, 2024. CBSE has emphasized strict measures against any unfair practices during these exams. The board stated, "Students attempting to influence examiners or using any unfair means will face serious repercussions." Moreover, CBSE holds the right to cancel practical exams if schools fail to comply with the set directives.

CBSE released comprehensive guidelines and SOPs for the Class 10 and 12 practical exams, accessible on the official CBSE website. The board aims to maintain consistency and accuracy in the examination process. Simultaneously, the official CBSE date sheet 2024 reveals that the Class 10 exams will be held from February 15 to March 13, 2024, while the CBSE Class 12 exams for different streams - science, arts, and commerce - will run from February 15 to April 2, 2024.

The forthcoming CBSE board exams have brought forth concerns about cheating among students. With immense pressure to excel, students often resort to unfair practices, raising alarm bells. CBSE stands staunchly against cheating during the exams and strictly prohibits any misconduct. The board has outlined severe consequences for those caught resorting to unfair means.

What Actions will be taken against the use of Unfair Means during CBSE Class 10, 12 Practical Exam 2024?

• Candidates caught cheating will have their results declared as 'Unfair Means (U.F.M.)'. These cases undergo separate consideration by the CBSE Result Committee after other students' results are announced. 
• Students found guilty will be summoned before the Result Committee to explain their conduct. However, failure to appear will lead to a final decision by the Committee. 
• If cheating is rampant in an exam center, the results for all candidates in that center may get cancelled. 
• Names of penalized candidates will be communicated to universities, boards, and other educational bodies nationwide.
