As per the latest updates from the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha, +2 (12th Class) Arts results will be declared in the first week of September.
Earlier, the council announced of publishing the results by last week of August. Speaking at a press conference, Samir Ranjan Dash, Odisha State Education Minister, said, “The result declaration process was delayed as two officials working in the council office were tested positive for COVID-19.
The board office was closed for a week and will now open in September, following which the pending work on result declaration will be completed. The result is likely to be announced by September 5.”
Earlier, on August 12, 2020, CHSE Odisha declared the results for Science stream with 70% of passing percentage compared to 72% as of 2019.
CHSE Odisha Revises Evaluation Scheme for Canceled papers
Amid the lockdown called out for Coronavirus pandemic, Board had to cancel several Arts exam papers as they were all scheduled in March. Also, a total of 2,18,800 candidates appeared for CHSE +2 Arts stream exams, this year.
The board cancelled Geography, Sociology, Anthropology and other Arts papers. As a fact, a new evaluation scheme has been introduced, which states if students appeared in more than 3 papers, average of the best 3 papers will be calculated.
The average marks will be allotted to the cancelled subject. Apart from this, CHSE has also decided upon conducting the exams for cancelled papers once situation turns conducive.
Students who will receive cancelled paper’s marks based on the new scheme will be allowed to take physical exams. However, it is optional and students can take if they require of improving scores.
Meanwhile, CHSE has also released Revaluation Form 2020 on its official website for Science and Commerce, the last date being September 5, 2020.
Once the results are declared, CHSE +2 (12th Class) results will be published on chseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in.
