The Consortium of National Law Universities has released the final answer keys for CLAT 2020 candidates online at consortiumofnlus.ac.in on October 3. 

As per the clarification, the questions and answers which were found with errors have been removed from the CLAT 2020 Final Answer Key. 

CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2020 was conducted on September 28 in a computer-based mode. Earlier, on September 28, provisional answer keys were also released on the official website. On the conclusion of CLAT 2020, students claimed the paper to be extremely lengthy. Some even took to Twitter to complain about the same. 

After the release of the CLAT 2020 Final Answer Key the total scores will be calculated out of 147 marks for the CLAT UG paper as three questions were removed, while CLAT PG will be calculated out of 119 marks because of one wrong question.

The official notification stated that after reviewing all the objections made by the candidates, the Expert Committee and the governing body of the NLUs had accepted the following modifications in the CLAT 2020 Final Answer Key for both CLAT UG and CLAT PG.

Candidates can now evaluate their answers by matching the ideal answer key and adjudge the marks scored by them. Direct links provided below.

To analyze the score, candidates are required to cross-check their answers with the ideal answers and award marks for the respective questions. For every correct answer, 1 mark is allotted and for every wrong answer, 0.25 negative marks must be tallied.

Candidates can now download the CLAT final answer key by following these steps: 

  • Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Check your examination SET.
  • Click on the direct link for the results provided on this page.
  • A new page with an answer key in pdf form will appear.
  • Download the Pdf and start verifying the answers from the question paper.

The other way to download the answer key might be via ‘Candidate Login’. The steps for the login process will require CLAT 2020 registered mobile number and password selected at the time of registration.

CLAT 2020 Score: Steps to Calculate CLAT Score

Candidates can calculate their CLAT score in the following manner: 

  • Download the pdf file of the final answer key.
  • Verify the answers and mark correct and incorrect answers.
  • For every correct answer, give 1 mark while for every incorrect answer, deduct ¼ or 0.25 mark.
  • Lastly, add and subtract the marks accordingly and calculate the final score.

About CLAT 2020 Amid Covid-19

CLAT is a National Level Law Entrance exam for admission to both UG as well as PG programs in well-known 22 national law Universities. It is conducted once in a year with over 75,000 candidates getting registered for the test.

This year due to the COVID outbreak, the exam pattern underwent few changes. This year, CLAT consisted of 150 questions with a time limit of 2 hours. It was held in online mode with only objective-based questions in the form of MCQs.

The exam takes into account 5 subjects including English (Comprehension), General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability), Legal Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.
