Delhi High Court on Monday, October 12, 2020, ordered Delhi University to declare results for PG courses by October 31 and upload marksheet on the official website for students to download them.
Delhi University in addition to that, has been ordered not to ask students to come physically to collect the marksheet. Marksheet downloaded from the website will be valid for all purposes and should not carry any terms that, it is subject to physical verification.
Earlier to this, the Court asked the varsity to issue a circular stating that the last date for applying for comfort (assurance) from postgraduate and undergraduate students seeking admission to foreign universities is September 18, 2020.
It stated that the results of the concerned post-graduate students seeking to travel abroad for higher education should be announced before September 28, 2020. Read More
A bench of Justice Hima Kohli and Subramanium Prasad made the judgement considering the situation of Covid-19 outbreak. They are making sure that there shouldn’t be any obligation to collect marksheet physically.

The same bench did not consider two pleas made by law students and National Federation of Blind. They wanted institutes to set up an effective system for visually-impared and specially-abled students so that they can learn what is being taught by the colleges.
However, the bench said it is not decided yet and they will consider it again. Final year examinations for undergraduates are scheduled to be completed between October 20, to October 31 that have been fixed by the high court with an option of a buffer of maximum 3 days.

Earlier, Delhi high court directed Delhi University and its affiliated colleges to conduct Open Book Examination (OBE) and declare the result by October first week.
