The meeting was held by the Oversight Committee. Chairman of Oversight Committee, Maharaj Pandit said, "The syllabi for four courses have been approved. A general recommendation was also given to add Hindi text for subjects like History, Sociology, and Political Science. The department should engage in getting Hindi translation, wherever possible so that it becomes accessible."

The right-wing teacher's outfit alleged last year that the curriculum for these subjects was "pro-left" and a row had erupted over the same. The executive council referred back the syllabi of these four courses to the departments and a revised syllabus was submitted to the Oversight Committee, which later approved it.
