In the ongoing proceedings for Delhi University’s Open Book Exams (OBE), the Delhi High Court has asked the varsity to provide scribes for visually impaired students who will appear in the exams.
As reports claim, Delhi University has to make scribes available for such students at the common service centre (CSCs) designated for examinations. Delhi HC has specifically stated that the university has to provide scribes to visually impaired students if they have applied for final year exams.

The Delhi High Court bench of Justices, Hima Kohli and Subramonium Prasad has even directed the varsity to provide at least 2 reading material or books to those students before exam commences.
Meanwhile, DU students continue to face technical glitches a few days before Open Book Exams.
Students have been given a week’s time to request for the same to the DU administration. In line with this, the court has conveyed to Delhi University that National Federation of Blind has agreed to furnish assistive devices to all the visually impaired students.

For continuing with a smooth process to induce timely conduct of exams and generate results in time, the HC has asked to plan and officially announce dates for DU Results 2020 in advance.
Court has even asked the university to formally announce the dates for physical re-exams who will not be able to take OBE in August 2020.
Earlier, the Delhi University conducted Open Book Exams Phase-2 till August 4. The mock test was designated for final year students of DU who will appear in Open Book Exams, soon.
HC has also directed DU to ensure all the digital certificates of students are sent to their registered email address to avoid coming to the university campus.
