The Director of Health Service (DHS) has commenced the application process for admission to various undergraduate healthcare programs. Aspiring students can now apply for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, and B.Sc Nursing courses through the official website.

New Delhi: The Director of Health Service (DHS) Meghalaya has commenced the application process for admission to its various undergraduate healthcare programs. Aspiring students can now apply for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, and B.Sc Nursing courses through the official website.

The last date to apply is July 12, 2023 till 4 PM. The Directorate of Health Services (DHS). Meghalaya emphasises a transparent and merit-based admission process.

DHS Meghalaya Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Aspirants who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of the state and have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognized board with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and English and Qualified NEET are eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31” December 2023. Candidates' upper limit age is 25 years as of 31’ December 2023. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get a relaxation of the upper age limit by 5 years. 
  • Aspirants need to be medically fit

DHS Meghalaya Admission 2023: Selection Process

  • Candidates who are medically fit and eligible will be ranked as per their NEET score in their respective categories. If two or more aspirants get the same NEET score the marks obtained in the PCB (Physics Chemistry, Biology) will be considered for the ranking.
  •  For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum marks shall be as prescribed to such categories and subject to the reservation policy of the State government applicable in this regard.
  • The list of eligible candidates for counselling will be displayed on the official website of DHS. 
  • The final list of candidates selected for nomination under all categories and also the waiting list for such categories will be displayed on the notice board DHS Meghalaya. This list will be published in the local dailies which are published by Shillong and Tura. 
  • Applicants are requested to ascertain the nomination from the above sources. No individual intimation will be served on any applicant selected for nomination.

Step 1: Visit the official website of DHS Meghalaya @meghealth.gov.in/.

Step 2: Click on the latest “Apply now” link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Register yourself by entering the details as required and login to your candidate profile.

Step 4: Fill out the registration form and upload the necessary documents.

Step 5: Pay the application fee and click the “Submit”.

Step 6: Download the confirmation page & keep a copy of the same page for further needs.
