    NEET Counselling 2020 is expected to start from the last week of October 2020. The counselling process for 15% of AIQ seats will be conducted by DGHS on the behalf of MCC. Candidates must note that counselling will be conducted online and they need to register online at the official website of MCC to participate in counselling. 

    State level counselling for 85% seats will be organized separately by the respective state authorities. Each state government will conduct its own counselling process to fulfil the seats in the state medical colleges based on the AIR ranks of the candidates. Download NEET 2020 Scorecard

    Seats will be allotted to the students as per their merit, category, and availability of seats in colleges. In NEET 2020 counselling there will be a total of 3 rounds including a mop-up round. Check NEET Cut off 2020

    Candidates must note that admission in Central and Deemed Universities, admission under seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in medical colleges and admission in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune will be done based on NEET 2020 counselling.       Instructions for Changing Nationality

      MCC has released an official notice for candidates who are claiming to be NRI and wish to change their nationality from Indian to NRI are required to send the relevant documents to support their claim. 

      • Email the required documents to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com
      • Candidates can email the documents from Oct 21, 2020 (10:00 AM) till Oct 23, 2020 (10:00 AM). 
      • Emails received after the stipulated time will not be considered. 
      • Candidates are also advised to keep in touch with MCC via their official website to get the latest updates of the same. 

      List of Documents Required to Change Nationality

      • Passport or Visa to claim the NRI status of the sponsor. 
      • Relationship of NRI with the candidate.
      • Affidavit from the sponsor that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate. 
      • Embassy certificate of the sponsor. 
      • NEET 2020 Scorecard of the candidate.

      Who is Eligible for NEET Counselling?

      Candidates who will qualify the NEET 2020 will be eligible to apply for counselling.

      • Candidates who will obtain a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45th percentile for general-physically handicapped) in NEET 2020 will be considered qualified in the exam.
      • Further, the ministry releases a list of qualified candidates under All India Quota excluding candidates from Jammu and Kashmir to take part in 15% AIQ Counselling.
      • Candidates have to register themselves on the MCC website to become eligible for the counselling process. 

      Central University Eligibility Criteria

      • Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): - We all know that 15% of Seats will be contributed to AIQ. The 85% institutional quota seats will only be for those candidates who have studied 11th & 12th grade in Delhi.
      • Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- The university will give 50% Institutional reservation to the candidates who have studied in their school in the last three years and 50% to other candidates who have qualified NEET. 
      • BHU:- All the candidates are eligible to take admission in BHU after qualifying NEET. 
      • Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: There will be an internal quota of 3 seats in BDS for those students who have passed class 10 or 12 from their school. Remaining 47 BDS seats will be open to all.

      Increase in Colleges and Seats

      This year the number of medical colleges participating in AIQ counselling has been increased. The increase in the number of colleges and seats will prove beneficial for candidates. 

      • Last year there was only 193 medical colleges bust this year there will be 235 medical under AIQ counselling. 
      • With the increase in the number of colleges, the number of seats has also been increased to 4591 from 4064.
      • Moreover, Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and ESIC college cousnelling were earlier conducted by IPU administration but from this year the counselling process of these colleges will be conducted under 85% Seat counselling. 

      NEET Counselling Procedure 2020

      Candidates can check the procedure of NEET 2020 counselling – 

      Step 1: Registration for Counselling

      MCI conducts the counselling to fill 15% All India Quota Seats in two rounds followed by a mop-up round. The steps involved in NEET Counselling Registration are as follows:

      Step I: Visit the official website of MCC and click on ‘New Registration’.

      Enter Roll Number, Application Number, Candidate name, Mother name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, Email ID and Security Pin as per your admit card. After entering all the required information, a new Roll No. and Password will be generated. Use these credentials to register for NEET Counselling.

      Step II: Log on to the MCC website and click on ‘Candidate login’.

      Step III: Enter your Roll Number and Password.

      Step IV: You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to enter details like Name, Roll No., Registration No., Mother’s Name, Contact No., etc. When you’re done, click on ‘Submit’.

      Step V: After this, you will be shown all your details as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. A Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates are advised to save this page.

      Step 2: NEET Counselling Fee Payment

      After successful registration, candidates are asked to submit refundable and non-refundable NEET 2020 counselling fee. The fee can be paid through an online medium like Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Candidates can check the NEET counselling fee 2020 in the table given below-

      Step 3: Exercising Option Entry and Locking

      Choice Locking facility is available for a specific time period on a given day.

      • In this step, candidates are required to submit preferences. you should fill the choices keeping in mind your scores as admission is granted on the basis of merit i.e. NEET score and preferences submitted during the counselling process.
      • You can view the list of colleges on the screen and fill as many choices as you want.
      • Post filling the choices in the list, candidates can arrange them in order of their preference by moving them up or down, interchange choices and delete choices.
      • Once you’re done, enter your password and click on ‘Lock Choices’.
      • Candidates are not allowed to make any changes after locking their choices so be very careful in your selection.
      • After locking, they can take a printout of the locked choices which will include locking date and time, IP Address of computer and system generated Unique no.

      Step 4: Release of Seat Allotment Result

      MCC releases seat allotment result after each round of counselling. It is released in the form of a list followed by issue of seat allotment letter to the selected candidates. Candidates must report to the allloted colleges with the allotment letter and other documents to finish admission process. Candidates can check  NEET 2020 Seat Intake to know the number of seats offered by different colleges.

      Essential Documents for NEET 2020 Counselling

      The following documents will be required during the NEET Counselling. Candidates must carry original documents along with attested photocopies to the counselling process: 

      • NEET Admit Card
      • NEET 2020 Result/Rank Letter
      • Class X Certificate and Marksheet 
      • Class XII Certificate and Marksheet
      • 8 passport sized photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
      • NEET Seat Allotment letter
      • Proof of Identity (Aadhar card/PAN card/Passport/ Driving License)
      • Category Certificate (if applicable)

      Counselling for 15% AIQ

      Counselling for 15% All India Quota

      • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India holds the Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats.
      • All deemed, central, state universities will participate in online counselling.
      • Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU & AMU will also be filled in this counselling.
      • Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats as per the directions of DGHS and seats left vacant after 2 rounds of Counselling will be adjusted in mop-up round.
      • Those candidates who take part in All India Counselling can also participate in State Counselling of their respective states.
      Note: Counselling will be done on the basis of candidate’s All India Quota Rank. States like J&K, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana will not participate in All India Quota counselling. If seats remain vacant in All India Quota, they will be converted into State Quota seats.

      • For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counselling Authorities.  
      • The counselling for Private Medical Colleges will also be conducted by the concerned State Counselling Authority.
      • Candidates need to register on their concerned state’s counselling websites.
      • Counselling will be conducted on the basis of the candidate’s rank in the state merit list.
      • Admission to colleges in J&K, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be done solely on the basis of state counselling.

      Ans. No, only NEET 2020 scores will be considered for getting admission in MBBS/ BDS for the 2020-21 session.

      Ques. How will the merit list be prepared by the states?

      Ans. States will prepare their merit list on the basis of All India Ranks, keeping in view the category of the candidates.

      Ques. After I join Second Round of Counseling of 15% AIQ can I leave/ Resign to join State Quota/ Private College seat?

      Ans: Once you join second round seat from 15% All India Quota, you will not be allowed to vacate from the allotted 2nd round seat as per direction by Hon’ble supreme court in WP(C) (267/2017) dated 09/05/2017.However, if you are allotted a seat in Second Round in AIQ/ Deemed you can Exit with Forfeiture of security amount.

      Hi Humna, the result of NEET is not based on marks in individual subjects, the ranking and the marks are reflected on the behalf of overall performance of the candidate in the exam in all subjects.
