The University of Delhi (DU) announced late Thursday that the online book-opening exam, which began Monday for final year students, has been going on successfully.

The statement came in spite of several problems and concerns raised by students and teachers over the last three days.
DU said that after three days of examination, 1,10,085 regular papers and 1,54,142c Non Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) and the School of Open Learning (SOL) papers had been attempted in open book examinations as of August 13, 2020.
Open book reviews are being carried out "as a one-time measure in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic for regular NCWEB and SOL students in the final year."
University of Delhi(DU) said Thursday that students have successfully submitted almost two lakh open book exam papers over the last four days.
According to DU 's cumulative data, 82,496 papers were submitted by regular students and 1,08,846 papers were submitted by NCWEB and SOL students at the beginning of the examinations on August 10, 2020.
However, the DU statement does not indicate the number of students who have tried the exams or even the total number of students who have been eligible to take the final year exams.

Delhi University said in a notice: in the last four days, students have successfully attempted and submitted their answer scripts to the DU OBE portal.
Some of our students who are currently in remote or remote areas have submitted their answer scripts via the e-mail option available to them.
Students with special needs have also been given the option of sending reply scripts by email.
Delhi University (DU) open book reviews began on August 10, 2020 after the Supreme Court had noded open book reviews, despite protests from students and teachers citing safety issues in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Exams have been marred by a host of problems, from registration issues to technical errors.
