DU Executive Council Gives Nod to MBA Business Analytics Program

New Delhi: The introduction of a new MBA Business Analytics course at the University of Delhi, which will be open to graduates from all streams, has received approval from the university's Executive Council. The Department of Commerce will provide 76 seats for this course.

At the DU’s Executive Council (EC) meeting conducted on August 25, 2023, the MBA Business Analytics course was approved for the upcoming academic year. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh.

During the meeting, the ideas that were presented in the University's Finance Committee meeting on August 17, 2023, were also approved, which included the institution's unaudited annual accounts, national pension program, provident fund, hall and dormitories program, etc.

DU's Commerce Department to Launch MBA in Business Analytics Program

A new MBA (Business Analytics) program is being introduced by the Department of Commerce, with 76 seats originally available. There will be 60 seats altogether, with quotas of 40.50% for UR, 27% for OBC, 15% for SC, 7% for ST, and 10% for EWS. In addition to these, 5% CW, 5% PwBD, and 10% of the supernumerary quota will be set aside for international students.

According to the rules and procedures of the university, two of the four seats available under the PG Ward Quota will be for teaching and the other two will be for non-teaching. 76 seats in all have been preserved for this program as a result.

DU MBA Business Analytics Program 2023: Eligibility & Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to DU MBA Business Analytics Program 2023 must go through the below-mentioned eligibility and selection criteria before applying for the program:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from the University of Delhi or any other university recognised as an equivalent thereto, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/CW category, a relaxation in eligibility would be given as per university rules.
  • The admission to the MBA (Business Analytics) program will be based on the marks secured in CAT entrance exam, matriculation and 10+2 percent of marks.
