Delhi University has released the examination guidelines for the second phase of open book examinations scheduled from September 14, 2020. Since the exam will be held in physical mode, the guidelines mention the precautionary measures to be abided by keeping in view the rising COVID-19 cases in Delhi.
Delhi University is making sure to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the conduct of examinations of MHRD as issued by UGC on July 8, 2020 in view of a pandemic. The university is all set to implement social distancing norms and maintain the hygiene standards to minimize the impact of COVID-19.

Earlier on September 7, Delhi High Court directed DU to commence the physical exams for final year UG students from September 14, 2020. The court also instructed the university to work out modalities for transportation of disabled students who couldn't appear for OBE and would appear for physical exams.
Delhi University: Physical Exams Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the physical exams will first have to submit a self-declaration (undertaking) before they enter the exam centre. The other measures to be followed during the examination are as follows:
- To ensure social distancing, queue manager/ ropes will be arranged at a distance of least 6 feet.
- Thermo guns for temperature will be there to check the temperature of students as well as staff members.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory throughout the examination. Floor masks will also be available for students.
- As per the SOP issued, a gap of 2 seats will be maintained while making the sitting arrangement and the entire seating area will be thoroughly sanitized before the start of each shift of examination.

- Attendance will be taken manually while maintaining a safe distance.
- A tray/dropbox will be provided in each room where students have to keep their answer sheets after completion of the examination. These tray/dropbox will be thoroughly sanitized after each session of examination.
- Seating plan will be communicated to the students one day prior to the examination, via email or Whatsapp.
