New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan has launched its newly designed "Employability Skills Enhancement Program for Polytechnic Students on October 12, 2023.
The program will be offered jointly by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Wadhwani Foundation with the shared goal of offering skills to polytechnic students. The main aim of the program is to upskill 10,000 students and mentor 500 faculty members

Informing about this Employability Skills Enhancement Program, the officials shared that the course curriculum will cover the key skills required for employment, such as Effective Speaking and Listening skills, impactful writing skills, Self-Presentation, Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving and Innovation, Professionalism and Financial Literacy.
In addition, the program will give a significant emphasis on gaining real-world experience and building a solid basis for a successful professional career. The program will be open to all and It will contribute significantly to the enhancement of employability in the nation's polytechnic community in the academic year 2023-24.

In other news, Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, has launched a new two-week online Malaviya Mission: Teacher Training Program at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi for teachers. The program was organised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The Teacher Training Program will focus on nine main themes- holistic and multidisciplinary education, Indian knowledge systems (IKS), academic leadership, governance and management, higher education and society, research and development, skill development, student diversity and inclusive education, and information and communication technology.
