Goa BE Non JEE Admission 2026 Opens at dtegoagovin

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Goa has opened the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Non-JEE admission round for the academic year 2026-27. The official advertisement was issued on 29 June 2026 through the DTE Goa portal at dte.goa.gov.in. The Non-JEE route allows eligible candidates without a valid JEE Main 2026 score to apply for vacant seats in the state's engineering colleges.

The notification is aimed at candidates who did not appear for JEE Main 2026 or the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2026 but meet the academic eligibility for B.E. admission. Admissions will be granted against seats that remain vacant after the JEE and GCET-based rounds conducted earlier in June 2026.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Non-JEE admission is meant for candidates who could not appear in JEE Main 2026 or GCET 2026. The candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject is required as the third subject.

Applicants must have secured the minimum aggregate marks in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group as prescribed in the DTE Goa prospectus. Domicile and reservation rules of the Government of Goa also apply.

How to Apply for Goa B.E. Non-JEE Admission 2026?

Applications for the Non-JEE round are accepted directly at the DTE Office in Porvorim. Candidates must download the official application form from the DTE Goa website. The completed form has to be submitted in person along with all supporting documents.

Required documents include the Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, school leaving certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate where applicable, and a valid photo identity proof. Candidates should also carry the DTE application fee receipt at the time of reporting.

Vacant Seats and Participating Colleges

The Non-JEE round covers vacant B.E. seats across engineering colleges affiliated with Goa University. The seat matrix will be updated on the DTE portal after the earlier JEE and GCET-based rounds close. Popular branches such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical, Civil, and Electronics and Telecommunication are usually part of this round.

How Does the Non-JEE Route Differ from the Main Round?

The main B.E. admission round in Goa uses a merit list built from JEE Main 2026 and GCET 2026 scores. Round 1 of that process was held from 22 June to 26 June 2026 at DTE, Porvorim. The Non-JEE round starts only after those seats are filled and vacancies are declared.

In the Non-JEE round, merit is prepared using Class 12 PCM marks. Candidates must report in person to select their seat as per their merit rank and available choices.

Why This Matters

The Non-JEE route is a second chance for students who missed the entrance tests. It uses Class 12 PCM marks instead of JEE or GCET scores. This makes government-affiliated engineering seats in Goa accessible to a wider pool of Class 12 pass-outs.
