New Delhi: IGNOU has launched a new M.Sc in Geography Program. The new course will be offered through ODL mode from the July 2023 session. Candidates who have completed their graduation in any stream are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Sc Geography Program offered by IGNOU.
The course fee is 14,000 per annum and the expected student intake is 2500. The course duration is 2 years but the max time within which a candidate has to complete the course is 4 years.
"Learners can opt for any one course from the given electives in the fourth semester, as per their choice keeping in mind the area of specialization either from Physical or Human Geography, which may later facilitate the learners to choose their research endeavor accordingly.
More electives will be added in the future," said IGNOU about MSc (Geography). "We are happy to inform you that, with the approval of the Competent Authority, the July 2023 Fresh-Admission Cycle for all programmes has commenced from 15/05/2023. The last date of Fresh Admissions for the July 2023 Session is 30 June 2023," says a tweet by IGNOU RC-Chennai.
"Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission," reads the official statement of IGNOU. IGNOU has also opened the admission window for MA in Sanskrit Program. The registration deadline for July Session admission is June 30, 2023.
