IIM Calcutta To Start Academic Year Digitally From August 2020; Check Details Here

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will be starting the new academic year in online mode from August 2020.

IIM Calcutta announced on July 8, 2020 that new as well as returning students of the flagship MBA program will have to attend classes digitally from August 2020 from the safety of their homes.

Professor Anju Seth, IIM Calcutta Director said, "As we reopen in the online mode, it is equally important that we sustain our academic rigor and preserve our unique teaching and learning experience."

She also said that more such digital initiatives will be taken by the authorities and on-campus activities were suspended by the University throughout the lockdown. 

The previous academic year ended abruptly in March when the nationwide lockdown was announced. IIM Calcutta took some steps to hold the remaining classes using web conferencing tools.
