IIM Indore Conducts Online Inauguration For Investment Banking Courses

IIM Indore has recently conducted the online inauguration ceremonies of two Virtual Learning Programme for Executives (VLPE) known as Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Management in collaboration with VC Now, and Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Investment Banking in collaboration with Times TSW.

The programme was inaugurated by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore along with Professor Rajhans Mishra, Coordinator, VLPE and Darayus Mehta, Founder Director, VC Now. 

While welcoming the new batch, Prof. Rai said that the pandemic has made us see some really tough times, but it also has brought something positive with it.

“COVID to me is creating opportunities by visioning, introspecting and discovering. We need to have a vision and a sense of purpose to what we’re doing and why we are doing a particular thing. IIM Indore’s mission is to be contextually relevant, with world-class academic standards and creating leaders and managers who are socially conscious,” said Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM.

Inauguration Event Highlights

During the event, Prof Rajhans Mishra highlighted the courses have been designed taking into account the requirement of industry and the market.

As per Prof. Rajhans, participants not only learn by what’s being taught in class but also by interacting with the fellow batchmates.

He emphasized that the average work experience of the batch is around nine years which will definitely boost peer to peer learning.

On the other hand, Darayus Mehta, Founding Director, VC Now, during his speech thanked IIM Indore team for launching the PGCPM. 

“This programme will help the working executives upgrade their skills and enhance their knowledge since the batch has a total work experience of over 200 years,” said Darayus Mehta, Founding Director, VC Now.

Programme Highlights

Both these programmes offered by IIM Indore of one-year duration for which classes are conducted online during weekends.

The objective of PGCPM is to equip students with the latest knowledge of management practices. While the PGCPIB focuses on imparting advanced knowledge on management aspects of investment banking. 

As of now, IIM Indore has already completed five batches of PGCPM and two batches of PGCPIB under VLPE.
