IIM Kozhikode has inaugurated its new Kochi Campus at Kalamassery on July 19 2026. The Gurukula Urban Learning Centre will host the four-year BMS and the two-year Executive MBA programmes near Cochin University Metro Station.
Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has inaugurated its new Kochi Campus. The launch took place on July 19, 2026. The campus sits at Kalamassery, next to Cochin University Metro Station. It has been named the Gurukula Urban Learning Centre by the institute.
Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIMK, declared the campus open. Shri Loknath Behera was the Guest of Honour at the event. He heads Kochi Metro Rail Ltd as Managing Director. The centre marks the institute's 30th anniversary year in 2026.
Programmes Offered at the New Kochi Campus
The Kochi Campus will host two IIMK flagship programmes from day one. Both were earlier run from the Infopark satellite centre at Kakkanad. They will now shift to the new Kalamassery premises.

Location and Metro Connectivity
The Kalamassery site sits beside Cochin University Metro Station. It links directly to the Kochi metro rail network. The national highway also passes close to the new campus. This makes daily travel easy for working executives and students.
IIMK Kochi Journey So Far
IIMK started its Kochi presence in 2012 at Infopark, Kakkanad. That centre ran for fourteen years as a satellite unit. It became a leading hub for executive education in Kerala. The EPGP has run from Kochi since 2013 without a break.

Students must apply through the official IIMK admission portal only. The BMS admission follows the institute's undergraduate entry route. The EPGP uses the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) for shortlisting. Both programmes then move to interview rounds.
